[01 FEB][DAF]ManusFreedom-Froyo[NAND&data on SD]based on[NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9G NAND]

It's for Leo512 users who want a data (data.img) storage on SD card.

It's the tytung version (NexusHD2-Froyo_V1.9G_NAND) updated:
- No Data on NAND.
- data.img (ext) in .data/ of root of SD Card (FAT32).
- data.img sizable (bigger or smaller) with .data/data.config of root of SD Card.
- Auto-upgrade data.img from the previous version.
- Include Recovery.
- Integrated last version software (market, maps, goggles,...).
- Integrated last kernel from tytung.
- Modified partition layout to be compatible with recovery system of RaiderX (but data will not be backuped because it's not on NAND, but you can duplicate .data/data.img on SD card to get a backup)

For information, I will not modify Android components, I will only update some with last market version.
Why? Because I have not thoses skills ;).
My current skills are limited to:
- partition
- boot part
- kernel

Created this thread to support my version of tytung android rom (NexusHD2-Froyo_V1.9G_NAND: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=10361304#post10361304)

How to install with DAF (Need MAGLDR 1.13 on device):
1-Download the zip file
2-Extract it on your computer
3-If you don't have on sd a directory .data copy .data from install to the root of your sd
4-Open .data/data.config of root of SD Card
5-Change data_size to the size you want in megabytes (recommand not less than 128 and not over 1536, after try at your own risk)
6-Boot your device under MAGLDR (hold power button during boot)
7-Select "USB Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown"
8-Push the call button
9-Connect your HD2 with USB cable on your computer
10-Launch daf.exe and follow instruction (It will erase your NAND)
11-The phone reboot alone, wait 5 to 15 minutes at the first start to build data.img (green HTC logo)
12-You will see Nexus animation logo (wait to 5 minutes)
13-You will be normally under Android

Looks good - nice and clean thanks.

Had a few FCs trying to bring up the gallery - working now but v e r y s l o w to show images when going stright in to the gallery or via the camera. Is this to be expected or a known issue.

Great work though. Apart from this it seems very nice and stable!

Very stable!!! My first NAND install and I'm sought of afraid to change it because it runs so smooth :D

One question about WIFI tethering however. Does anyone have it working?

From the Land Down Under!!
Ummmm....

Hi manusfreedom,

Thanks for this little beauty!

I am sorry if this seems like a real noob question (it could be I am having a very bad blonde moment!!) but I can't find the rom-zip file to install the new build, or have I got this totally wrong!?!?

FYI...I successfully completed the steps to have recovery installed but then I could find the build file/s on my sd card to install.

Where could have I gone wrong??

In the interim I reinstalled NexusHD2-Froyo_V1.9a_NAND via the original MAGLDR method.

Thank you...
(smiles sheepishly)

You could install my ROM in the same way as NexusHD2-Froyo_V1.9a_NAND.
It will just take some time at first startup to create the 1GB data.img.

Is it possible to have 2GB data.img?

    Do you really need it?
    1
is the data.img the only difference?

Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

    No:

    - new partition layout for recovery system
    - kernel updated integrated
    - some internal software updated (maps, goggles, market,...)
    1
But is possible update NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9a NAND to this version?
    1
    - its possible to add another languages to T9 (phone itself is ok in EN)?
Like said before I will not modified the Android part (only update already installed software)
    - the upper notification bar - its original? It looks to me too "solid" too white and in different graphics comparing to for example to launcher.
    It's the original one.
but thnx anyway for functional gingerbread!
    It's a Froyo (2.2.1) not a gingerbread (2.3).
