May work by bending the steel of lower side so it will become tight when u connect. Works for me.

it's unbelievable how much dirt can go inside a micro usb port!
and as far as I saw, different phone models have different propensity to get dirty.
just an example: same owner, same habits...nexus4 after 4 years have a very clean microusb port...nexus6 after just 2 years seems like have attracted everything around it...spent 30 minutes to clean...
Would a plastic brushpick work?I suggested a plastic "plectrum" cut from bubble packaging as an alternative to a wooden toothpick as an insulating pick to clean compacted fluff and lint from USB receptacles and other connectors

I've never seen one; try it, as long as it doesn't push on the delicate bit in the middle.
Tried this, didn't get any dust :/ but what when I was cleaning it I saw the two little holes in the female side of the port that the clips for the male end are supposed to latch in. Turns out my male end was suffering from... impotence? Lol. I took a needle and adjusted the clips on the cable and it holds fine now. Just posting this for anyone else who's suffering looseness not caused by dust.
