Ok the video was shot in 1080. Gonna bring down the video resolution to 720? And can I split my images to part 0 and part 1 only? Got kids football practice right now, but I will try when I get home thanks.

480 or 320 would be better. Having the images around 50kb is best. You can use part0 part1 part2 etc. it doesn't matter. If you're just using one video and just want to loop that just use one part folder, part0 and set loop to 0.

Making a lot more sense. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks man.

This might be a little off topic, but I did not think that resurrection of an old thread, or creating a new one would be better than posting the question here.
here we go:
Did anyone figure out a way to extend the time for which the PowerOn.wav file plays? 4seconds is ok, but it would be nice for it to play for as long as the boot animation was on

I'm not sure if or what the limit is for how long a boot sound can be as I've never messed with sound stuff. But one thing you can try is using some audio software and loop the sound in the wav or slowing the tempo or just manipulating it in someway. Then just save it and put it back on the phone.

The problem is that the phone only reads the file for about 4 seconds, it might need some file to be modified, just not sure which file.

Not sure. Perhaps someone else can help with that. You could speed up the boot animation by changing the frame rate in the sanim.zip. That would make it match up or at least closer together.

Nice, I opened sanin.zip
now I see :
-desc.txt:
480 800 40
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1

and 2 folders with jpg files ....

To speed up frame rate which one do I modify? by how much do you recommend?

You change the 40. You'll have to play around with it and try to get it to your liking. Try 50 if that's too fast slow it down or still to slow then go up higher. Make sure when you put the desc.txt back in the zip in needs to be set to store/no compression. Otherwise the boot animation will just be a black screen.

I have noticed this as well. I'm using the transformers boot (which lasts for 17 seconds), but the audio file I took from zedge (a transformer from the movie transforming) should be 17 seconds as well, but lasts about 12 seconds.

Sorry it took me a while to report if it worked. How do I set it to store/no compression?
I copied the zip file to my computer, edited the 40 to 50, and replaced the file in the .zip file (copy and paste), copied it to my sd card, used the root explorer tool to move it back to system, but I see no option to set it to store/no compression, and my boot animation is black as you mentioned.

I'm not sure what compression/zip program you are using but all the folders and files cannot be compressed. I used winrar and when I add the desc.txt back into the zip it asks me what compression I want to set it at and I choose store. If you don't have that option just take all the files and make a new zip and make sure it's set to store.

Simple clean boot and shutdown animations made by me. Enjoy :D

You shouldn't have to mount system but you may need to if you don't see the new animation.

Boot Animations work with any rom running a kernel that supports custom Boot Animations.
Shutdown Animations work on Eclipse 1.4 and 2.0, TweakStock 1.4, Tweaked 1.5 and 2.0 and InfinityROM
Shutdown Animations can be a little choppy depending on how much the phone is doing during shutdown. Unfortunately there is no way around that.

    Directions Boot Animations:
    1. Currently using a kernel that supports sanim.zip custom boot animations
    2. Download zip and put on root of SD card
    3. (Optional) Backup current boot animation. Navigate to /system/media rename sanim.zip to sanim.zip.bak
    4. Boot into recovery, You do not need to wipe the cache's, install zip from sdcard
    5. Reboot system

    Directions Shutdown Animations:
    1. Download zip and put on root of SD card
    2. Boot into recovery, You do not need to wipe the cache's, install zip from sdcard
    3. Reboot system
    4. When it boots back up Reboot or Shutdown to see Animation

I'm pretty sure Jaekar99 uses flashable CWM zips. You need to extract, take out, the bootanimation.zip and rename that to sanim.zip and then put that in /system/media
    1
That's a big list which one do you want and I will just make a flashable zip for you
