AWESOME! Thank you so much :victory:

Looks like it's compiled without errors. So, can you please explain how to make ODIN/CWM packages from those files now? I guess "make -jX otapackage" doesn't work, does it?
ls it possible to build MTD version, too?

Thanks so much for your help! :good:

The easiest way to create the update zip :
- Take CM7.2.0-GT-I5800_Alpha9_CWM.zip

- Unzip

- Delete the system folder but keep /system/lib/modules folder

- copy the modules folder to your system/lib directory (the system folder you built is in out/target/product/galaxy3)

- put your system folder into the unpacked zip

- repack the zip

- flash

-----------------------

Once you flashed your update.zip via CWM, you can create the ODIN tar :

- Take CM7.2.0-GT-I5800_Alpha9_ODIN.zip

- Unzip & untar

- On your phone, create the factoryfs.rfs :
Code:
 # dd if=/dev/block/stl6 of=/sdcard/factoryfs.rfs

- Replace the factoryfs.rfs by the factoryfs.rfs you created

- Make the tar file and flash via ODIN

Please,
can you help me with this strange problem?

I installed [ROM][2.3.7] CyanogenMod 7.2 (Alpha9).
Everything works fine,until restart.

The problem?
Setting are not permanently saved. Any changes are lost on reboot.
Actually always I get the very first setup guide "touch screen to continue -wifi- Gmail account".

I tried the following.
Fixing permissions via terminal emulation with success msg.
Fixing permissions via CWM. Before and after ROM installation.
Formatted everything, few times. (Dalvik) data/system/cashe etc few times.
Trying diferent things for two days, so far.

Anyone please?
Thanks!

You can try flashing the rom again after a (data wipe + format system) in recovery....

    Hello,

This thread is here to let you know how is the port of CyanogenMod 7 and to discuss about it.

Actually, the CM7 port is in alpha stage, until all the hardware is working. The ROM is very stable and can be used everyday, but you could miss some features that are not yet (fully) working like bluetooth.

    @Everyone :

I have got many PM's regarding the state of this thread and i believe Marcel would have got more than me ......thats why i am sharing the Info.

Marcel have got the job he desired and currently have to move to CANADA......so it will probably take 1-2 Weeks.....

after that he should first get settled in there and should build up the development environment again.......

So till then i guess everyone should have patience.

Not 1-2 weeks but 3-4 months... but you know, it's not easy to immigrate in a new country so I'm very busy to prepare my family and myself for the move.

Thanks for your support and patience.

    Some news about Alpha9 :
    - Camera : you can now use a barcode reader or any app that requires camera. It should work.
    - Video recording is working with some restrictions : not using hardware codec but software. Audio is not recorded but may be fixed soon.
