Basically, after attempting to install the Sony Audio upgrade from the FirstAide release with Sony JB issues, I too have a Kindle that isn't responding.

The initial kindle fire logo appears when I turn it on, blinks, then vanishes.
After that, just a blank screen. The backlight is on, and I've left it for a few hours, but no change occurs.
Unfortunately, the device does not seem to communicate with my PC, so I'm not sure where to go from here.

I've tried:
holding down the power button for six seconds
holding down the power button for a minute
pressing the power button five times in a row
leaving the kindle for about 8 hours (off) charging
removing all traces of the drivers and starting afresh
swapping to Ubuntu on my PC
swapping to my netbook (which hadn't had the kindle attached ever previously) and installing the latest recommended USB ADB drivers

device manager shows no change with the kindle connected, and obviously adb devices returns nothing

Sadly, I won't be back to Britain until around Xmas, so it looks like I've got a brick for about nine months - I don't think Amazon will courier a new one/pick up dead one to #$%@$%$^^& (censored, I've just copy&pasted most of this from a DM)!

No ill will towards the developers, on my part btw, I understand the risks involved using 3rd party scripts, I just wish I'd waited a couple of days before trying the First Aide revision with the Sony JB issues. FWIW, the other options seemed to work so much more smoothly. There were a couple of errors remaining, but the rooting process seemed to almost complete fully!

B)Make it yourself if you are in a hurry - it's very easy if you know how to solder

Windows won't install the drivers for the Kindle, so this fix is impossible. I'm unable to install the drivers. I can boot to fastboot via a cable and Windows sees the Kindle as "Tate-PVT-08" with an ADB connection, but when I attempt to use option 3 I get a "fastboot.exe has stopped" error from Windows. Ideas?

And for last this is just a note; I have not problem with this because I solved with KFHD but there is, maybe a problem with your pack the option 7 completely restore to 8.1.4 at least for me not worked to recover I needed to use KFHD img. The version in your pack cause a boot where say restore to factory default and after you do reboot again the same an endless loop and sometimes shows garbage on the screen crazy thing but happened to me. Is just a comment in case maybe your img is corrupted or something like that in case your img is ok then my kindle is so capricious.

I am getting same errors as random user, except I have been unable to install root using this tool, and once rooted elsewhere, unable to get gapps installed. The people here are AMAZINGLY responsive. Thank you worked perfect but first I never found an app called com.google.android.gm-1.apk or other similar in /system/app never see one there. What I did was delete the old one then download from play store the latest, and here is the interesting issue and you gave me the solution I think is no matter if you have in /system/app something the important is try to launch the gmail multiple times no matter if the app close you must hammer the app multiple times and hunt at the bottom right the button Sync until you can in that fraction of second is needed to do very fast, once you can hit Sync like you say adjust things and works perfect!!!! I never thought and app can run in that way but works.

From the looks of it, the following commands would be used to try a manual install?
All attempts of KFFirstAide to install busybox have failed regardless of version. I have also tried this on another computer with the same results. Neither have the ADK installed. Also would it be possible to install busybox through terminal emulator or through root explorer edits?
