I own a Galaxy Note 8. In which file do I have to change values to get the volume louder? (Exynos variant) Can someone also tell me in which XML file I need to edit something so I can adjust the volume in smaller increments?
Please ask in NOTE8 FORUM:
https://xdaforums.com/galaxy-note-8/help
This forum is for NOTE3 SNAPDRAGON.

As far as it goes for TouchWiz, you cannot change volume increments since Samsung has changed it from Google so that it is no longer editable. You can only change it if you flash an AOSP/LOS based ROM.

Shortly, yes.

Longer version of this answer is, because samsung was more invested in Snapdragon rather than Exynos chipset back then (2013-2016), you could find more Snapdragon devices which have same arch to port stuff to older Snapdragon devices. Since last 3-5 years, it was shifted, and Samsung started to promote its own Exynos chipset and started to put it more into his devices. That is why currently it is opposite. It is harder to find a Snapdragon phone to port stuff to older Snapdragon devices, and vice versa for Exynos.

Also, adding the fact that regionally, Snapdragon was sold in more countries than Exynos; it is also more abundant and has more investment by developers.

Though this is off topic here, I hope this made it clearer why there are less development on Exynos note3

really thank you for your answer, i live int Turkiye and in our land comes only exynos samsung (like n9000q, an not n9005)

but i have an galaxy S3 i9300 (with exynos) and that have android 10.x custom rom but my n9000q has at last (stable) android 7.x and (stil alpha) android 8.x...

I am shure that most of us need much louder voice on our note3
This Mod Is Based From My How-To Guide That I Have Done A While Back On How To Boost The Stock Volume On Your Galaxy Device

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO: This mod will let you increase your device volume up some more pretty loudly without the need for you to install any apk file or adding other sound mods into your rom.

Yes, please do indicate where the files to be replaced are. I'm very comfortable copying files with es file explorer, but don't want to overwrite the wrong thing.

    Thanks!

I unzipped the file and replaced the file in the /system/etc/snd_soc_msm/ folder with es file explorer. I think the other folder is just used when flashing in recovery so I didn't touch that one. I hope that helps.

I just gave very loud a shot. It is a lot louder but I noticed some distortion. Especially while listening to live music

    thanks! excellent job.

currently using the Loud version and found the music volume to be much louder. However, speaker phone volume did not increase as much. If possible, please make the speaker phone even louder.

Edited excellent @nowy57 work to increase whole speaker (media and calling) volume.
