mendozinas,

The resulting apk files that I get back from UOT Kitchen are consistently much larger than what I upload. The only mod I'm using is the battery mod.

For example, I just uploaded the framework-res.apk from ProTekk's #8, which is 3.29 MB. I applied the battery mod and cooked: nothing else. The kitchen returned a framework-res.apk that is now 6.19 MB.

The framework-res.apk I submitted contained 1,156 files. The kitchen added 178 files, which makes sense since it has to create all the battery images. But it also changed an additional 669 files. Why?

It looks like a lot of files are being unnecessarily replaced with less optimized versions that appear the same, but are larger in size.
Example: /res/drawable-hdpi/btn_zoom_page_press.png
Input: 2.98 KB
Output: 3.48 KB

Is there a way to prevent this?

It worked perfect using cyanbread and androidian but i cant get the honeybread theme to work. It says there was a problem parsing the package.

Kitchen is not changing others images. File size can increase because kitchen is recompiling apk.
And it up to apk tools how it treats images.
Kitchen don't use png optimizing.

If u choose "Apply anyway" (or smth like that) - all will be good. Its just because of missing preview.

It doesn't give me that choice. I noticed that choice when I tried another theme. But when I unzip it and try to install the theme that's when I get the parsing problem message.

Understood.
Will take look at that theme. Theme Chooser is new feature in the kitchen, so it needs some tweaking.
