Yes renamed it and system/customize/resource. It tells me file can't be moved. Its coming from sd to system folder

R u using es file explorer? If yes, u have to check root explorer and mount system in the es file explorer settings.

long pess on the bootanimation that you want to move and go to props and make sure the permissions are correct it should be rw- r-r (if not press change there are 3 groups: user should have read and write checked, then theres group only read should be checked, then other that should have only read checked. save and then move make sure you either delete or rename the old one)
There is no change button. But it reads that it's r + r and no hide..

if your not seeing the change button then you dont have root explorer enabled.
goto settings in es file explorer scroll to the bottom and enable root explorer and mount system as told in earlier post.

on kinged shooter it has to be named hTC_bootanimation and it goes to data/local
Should be one with hTC_bootanimation and one is hTC_downanimation you want to replace the bootanimation one. If you paste it in there it should say something about replacing the one with the same name.

Download, rename to bootanimation.zip, copy it to your system/customize/resource folder.
If u run into problems (if the bootanimation is not showing when booting up) after copying and pasting the bootanimation, make sure that u renamed it correctly and that the permissions are set to R/W.

OK, I'm on the evo 3d now, so I can't check the rom you referring to, there are two folders where the animations go, system/customize/ resource and data/local, you can also open the default.xml file located in system/customize/cid folder, open it and scroll down where you will see the bootanimation and downanimation locations, if no dice, ask in the rom forum, maybe someone there will tell you where it goes.
