CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Also added a open-source FileManager(seriously,i dont understand y cm10 doesnt contain a file manager by default)

PS-Our system partition is starting to show it's age,my phone refused to boot after flashing gapps and cm10...had to remove face lock,many ringtones and apps like ROm manager to get it to boot :D

EDIT-With new jb libs from qualcomm it is MUCH faster!

And don't get freaked out during boot up,cm10 is officially still using cm9 boot animation for now

Here i want to share boot animation for CM10...

Instruction:
-Use ROOT Explorer..
-Mount as r/w
-copy & replace to \system\media\
-reboot & enjoy..

Who say i di? Cuteprince get hal working on cm9 and u know it

cm10 on htc pico

i have installed cm 10 in my device and wifi...camera...and hq videos are not supporting....and also whenever we try to open the settings....it is displaying an error...settings cannot be opened.... :(:(:(:(

    Feels a little janky here and there,but overclock should take care of it ;)
