Meanwhile, HTC One users in Taiwan are already reporting they are getting the Android 4.3 OTA notification.

Mackenzie also updated us on the state of the pending Droid DNA update. The US variant of the HTC Butterfly is slated to get the Sense 5-enabled version of Jelly Bean by year's end, although it will only be getting version 4.2.2.


Regarding Droid DNA. Update and clarification is that DNA customers will get new Sense experiences (w/ 4.2.2) before end of year.

From my experience with HTC, this is/was the last update 4.2.2. We can dream about 4.3 or 5.0!! HTC one is a flagship so it is a candidate for 4.3.

Remember Desire HD.

I have a HTc butterfly x920d and we do receive updates also so I don't agree with u on that and the HTC Butterfly S is also a flagship but it's the Taiwan and Hong kong flagship

You have to be full stock get the update...

lock the bootloader and un-root it, install stock firmware and give it a try...

I cant find any 4.2.2 stock rom I try using ruu but it 4.1.2 it cant be flash

Install stock 1.19 and just say no when it is asking for do you want to root the phone...

After you finish the setup check for updates...you will get small update first and then the sense 5 update....

If by this month end, 4.3 is not out for Taiwan users, most likely hTC will skip the update for Butterfly. Few more days then 4.4 will be out too

I don't think Butterfly will get anymore update. Butterfly is the phone with worse support and least marketing. All their focus are on HTC One.

Sigh. I'm more concerned about getting the 4.2.2 kernel released so that it can be nodded. On newtroot's GPE 4.2.2 ROM now. But the battery drain is quite significant. Waiting for killx to develop the kernel once the source is out... To bad I'm too noob to be a Dev.
