THE JP6 IS NEWER THAN JPM
Flash The New Firmware:
BEFORE anything, disable any LAGFIX.
FOR PEOPLE COMING FROM JM8 YOU JUST HAVE TO:
1. Extract the I9000XWJP6.rar file using password: samfirmware.com
2. Open Odin: select Pit 803 and put the only file you get (JP6_JP4_U_JPM.tar) in the PDA section of Odin.
3. Leave all other section blank
4. Don't thick "check repartitions" and Flash IT!
5. If the phone starts vibrating and giving force closes, just reboot in Recovery mode (VOL UP + HOME + POWER) and Wipe Cache/Data
INSTEAD, IF YOU COME FROM A DIFFERENT VERSION
First Flash I9000XWJM8 with RE-Partition and 512.pit. Then I9000XWJP6 following info above. (Thanks to SamFirmware)
How to ROOT
1. You can Use SuperOne Click root available here
2. If your device is not recognized, reboot it in recovery..
3. If it's still not detected, just reboot your phone with the application running and waiting for devices..
4. Install busybox from the Market

1. There's a Welcome screen telling you HOW-TO use the keyboard. Like HTC, it tell you to chose if you use 3G and Wifi, or Wifi-only, and let you connect to your Wi-Fi.
It asks if you wanna use Google Location and then it let you setup your Google account or Exchange account.
After signed in, it will prompt you with Back up data with your Google Account. That's the end of the Welcome screen
2. A new Application called "Press Reader". If you launch, it says "Service will be available soon"
3. There's Flash player 10.1 that was automatically updated once connected
4. Quadrant Score: 998
5. Jit is Enabled and Linpack Score: 13.29 -> 14.08 -> 14.10
6. RAM: 304MB. At First boot, i have 190Mb available
7. Swype Language:UK/US English, Deutsch, Francais, Nederlands, Korean(i guess), Svenska, Dansk, Suomi, Norsk, Hrvatski, Romana, Srpski, Slovenscina, Russian (i guess). Swype Version: 2.6.47.11856
8. Ui Language: A lot of them..guess all languages are is
9. GPS: 1st lock took 15seconds. After 1min, i got 7 in view, and 7 in use with 16,4feet of accuracy. Needs to be tested on the road..
