Im still on Slim 2.8, using latest Glitch kernel.
havent update cause i havent had time, and I go AMAZING battery.

I just got 8 days battery, yes, 8 DAYS battery.
No data, slightly use wifi, just phone calls, about 1-2 hours a day of phone calls, and quite a lot of sms, 30-40 sms.

nope, stock battery! just a good battery… LOL :D
never let battery go down below 15%, never charge more than 96%

also using 2G network uses very minimal battery. :cool:

edit: this time I let it go down to 6% just to see how far it could go, 8 days. normally i keep 30%-90%

first of all Cheers on this rom I get poor battery but speed and performance! yeayeyea hh OK now for my daily Q when I'll install 2.9 would I need to reinstall every thing like if coming from other rom ?

Very good.
But you won't be able to hit my 20 days' battery.

Let me guess... You had it turned off?

Or on airplane mode and made no calls / sms? Oh, wait! You had no sim-card and didn't use it at all? :D ;)

EDIT: Btw, in your signature, you misspelled "thing", writing "think" instead. Should be read: "If a thing is worth doing at all it's worth doing well". ;)

hey guys do i need to wipe data if i am coming from AOKP Mil 4 ROM in order to flash this rom? oh and just wondering why is it so small compared to other ics roms... i usually see not less than 100mb but this one is 50mb:eek::D

Hello, just installed Slim ICS. It's amazingly fast and smooth so far.
Only one problem is that, there isn't data connection indicator in the statusbar (E/3G/H).
Is there cure for that problem?

E: Now after looking closer the indicator seems to be inside the signal bars, but isn't really visible.

Also one more question, is there option to answer the phone with the middle button?

not sure about the other questions but if you go to settings --> ASS --> General UI you should be able to configure the screen density

After I flashed it, my camera stopped working, any reasons as to why? I tried different apps from the market too but with no success.

I'm sure that this has probably been answered, but does anyone have the stock ICS Launcher apk? I'm not a fan of Zeam Launcher.

Nevermind: Did a search and found out what to do. ;)

Quick questions (if answer would be related to non-stock kernel please ignore):
- with 2.9 the option to adjust ringtone/notification volume separately which was really, really useful for me is gone. It was there with 2.8, was not there with 2.5 if I remember right. Is it really gone or doe I have to look elsewhere (searched thread, no result)?
- I'm still quite new to ICS and cannot find an option to reduce vibration intensity or duration for haptic feedback (no search, question just quickly added here). Do I have to look elsewhere?

    Installation Instructions:
    • A simple wipe cache/dalvik cache and install this should be it. If you want clean install, wipe data, format system, and cache, then install.
    OR
    RECOMMENDED OPTION FOR NEW USERS
    • These steps should work for anybody who has Sammy GB ROM on the phone with CWM recovery
      • Flash CM9/TH build 16 or my Slim ICS 2.6 then my latest base + essentials ( if you are on another ICS ROM, this shouldn't bee needed)
      • Reboot to recovery or if it bootloops, pull battery, enter CWM
      • wipe data, Flash base + essentials
      • reboot to system

    • Fast Charge in Kernel and Controlled via ASS - thanks to chad0989 for FC patch - Turned off by default, take a look at this post for how it works.
    • Free Mem increase via kernel and device ( increase of about 40 MB) - thanks to Kali of CM team for source, i get about 200 MB free with 60 data apps installed, increase of about 50 MB.

    • Nav Bar via ASS, turned off by default , turn it on via ASS( search and memu vritual keys are not transparent, other 3 are)
    • Calendar ( text ) in lockscreen, turned off by default again, turn it on via ASS.

    Market Workaround at 182 DPI:


    • Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.
      or
    • Change to 240 dpi, reboot, clear market cache, and verify that all apps are seen ( if you can't see any at 182 dpi), then change it to 182 dpi and don't clear cache. All apps will show up until you clear cache next time.
      or
    • Buy LCD Density Modder Pro. Easily allows to change DPI and downloads a modded multi dpi marketplace.
