If you are confused with bootloader, please read this post

V4.8 beta (For bootloader 0.21.35 and 1.0.50)
1 Update OEM parts to 01.00.50.092.08(many thanks to vadv)
2 You dont have to update bootloader or flash Vodafone rom to use my rom.(1.0.50 BL only)
3 so... you can go back to your original rom for warranty.(1.0.50 BL only)
4 et9 IME (you can change to original adatxt by installing the cab file in root folder)

How to use this rom?

3 If you have a rom version higher than 01.00.50.xxx, please do not flash your phone. dump your rom first.(method as below)

iPAQ hard-reset:

1. Turning off the phone

2. Press the key number 6, and turn on your phone holding on the key number 6 until you see options to reset your phone - on screen with tiny letters. select number 1, and thats it, wait it to finish

It is no need to dump or upload your original rom, If your rom version is :
0.21.21.xxx
or 0.21.35.xxx
or 01.00.12.332.04.SHIP
I had reconstructed a 01.00.12.332.04.SHIP orginal rom, but only os part.
the rom can only work with the same version bootloader.
but I can not find a method to dump a bootloader from device.
So, please do not flash any rom, if you care about warranty.

How to dump your original rom

Tools: itsutils pdocread.exe from itsme
unzip to your C: driver
Ctrl + "R" to open run then "cmd" to enter a dos window.
type "cd \" enter
type "cd itsutilsbin-20090515" enter

use command pdocread -l to show parts address.
then pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part01 0 0x360000 part01.raw
then pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part02 0 0x5120000 part02.raw
the address (red and blue) is based on your pdocread -l response.

Only os part, not include bootloader.
You must use OS with the same version bootloader.
I can not dump a bootloader from device.
If you care of warranty, please do not flash any rom.(bootloader)

Just inherited one brad new HP IPAQ Voice messenger from my wife. Because she stole my Touch Diamond
She hates that she was unable to type swedish ÅÄÖ.
Could you maybe do a swedish ROM? Or just implement option of swedish keyboard layout in the english one.
My Touch Diamond hi res screen is soo superior to this one and i really want it back from her.
Hope your upload is done soon.

Bricked my working phone so it now says no service. Seems like this rom is Vodaphone locked.
How do you unlock it???

1 SD card driver removed which make system unstable. back to original drivers.
(Install the SDHC_driver.cab in "Patch" folder if you have the card lost issue)
If your VM without card lost issue, It is not necessary update to this version.

Flash the 0.21.35 bootloader if you have no network (no signal) issue.

You must format the "ipaq file store" to make hp ipaqdataconnect have a full list.
If you can not set your network connection, please format "ipaq file store".
If you dont know how to format it, you can disable it with disableEXT.cab (install then restart)

WM5torage not working in V3 and V3.5 Please reinstall it with the cab below.

I just notice that the Vodafone "0.21.35.151.01" ROM is newer than shiped "01.00.12.332"
So... we are using the latest drivers and radio.

I too need a swedish room

Hikey, do you have any unbrand rom yet? i have a unbranded(eng version) voice messenger, but kinda new into this dumping rom thing.

Hi hikey,
I already flashed the official uk vodafone rom and it works with my italian operator, it is not operator locked. That was the only solution to have a working phone.
I hope you will make your 6.5 rom soon
Is there any problem that this rom has a bootloader uncluded?

Too late for that.
Already flashed the 6.1 rom. But phone workes now.
Did notice that the vodaphone logo is appearing on bootup as it did in your 6.5 rom.
But atleast it's not network locked anymore.

Will try your new version tonight.
Hope you have removed all the Vodaphone stuff now.
