hey, what drivers did you guys use when trying to flash with LiveSuit? I cannot get it to recognize my tablet =(

Found full screen patch

Removes status bar for fullscreen game play. Can toggle between on off and auto. Was looking for this for a while so I figured I would post it here for those who might need it. Tested on the newest build 0413 one from the main Chinese makers site. works great. Really helps with the games. Had problems with some because not in full screen.

one more thing, my language setting is not working, so I could not test if the setting option is correctly in English, kindly mke a backup and then start patching...and check it out!

【full screen patch introduction】

this patch can work in 3 modes:
1) full screen mode——all apps work under full screen mode=W/O task bar
2) smart auto mode——show task bar in general using, full screen when going to read app, game and video
3) normal mode——the task bar will always stay, even it's playing video


【notification】

this patch including 3 files:
1) update_fullscreen_v3_kernel.zip —— this is the main file to make the function work(moded android.policy.jar)must be installed
2) update_fullscreen_v3_Setting.zip —— this is to make the above 3 optional setting(settings.apk),suggested to install
3) ToggleBar_Novo7AuroraV2.apk —— this is a widget,take it if you like this way to change the method,you'd better to take one from 2 or 3, otherwise how could you change the method?



【step by step】

step1. backup android.policy.jar in system\framework\ and settings.apk in system\app

step2. put update_fullscreen_v3_kernel.zip and update_fullscreen_v3_Setting.zip on /mnt/sdcard

step3. restart and go into Recovery mode (suggest you to make a full restore first)

step4. Install zip from sdcard --> choose zip from internal sdcard --> ( choose update_fullscreen_v3_kernel.zip ) --> Yes -- Install update_fullscreen_v3_kernel.zip

step5. same step to install--> update_fullscreen_v3_Setting.zip

step6. reboot to system--this time the booting will take a long time, take it easy, it's ok, I have test it.

step7. go into setting --> display --> full screen mode, and then make your option

step8. install ToggleBar_Novo7AuroraV2.apk (if you wanna it)

step9. put ToggleBar_Novo7AuroraV2 icon on desktop in oder to be easy later

if you don't know to use or don't have CWM Recovery on your tablet, you can extract above files,
use root explorer to backup and replace the files by yourself, don't forget to set the correct permisson and usergroup(check it out on original files before replacing)and then reboot the tablet.

cpu overclocking

you can overclock to 1200mhz max with setcpu. can download free from this site. made by a xda developer. free for members. great app. can get hot though at 1200. I find it best at 1152mhz.

As a note, if it wasn't posted earlier(I didn't read the whole thread ), the device is also labeled the Hipstreet Nova2, and it was available in Canada for $99. The instructions at the beginning combined with the download of the firmware of manufacturers site has my tablet running ICS fully functional, with 0 effort. Biggest thing to remember that at least got me was the renaming of the firmware image to not include all of the wonderful special characters. The manufacturers tools didn't work for me at least and I had to use the one that I found searching for "F1-Phoenix". Nothing besides the tool and the firmware were required and its running a lot better than I expected. Hope it helps.

Capacitive back button not working

I recently purchased this tab (possible clone) from aliexpress, tablet was working great until I did a factory reset now my back button doesn't work. The home key and menu key work, so I know the digiitizer isn't broken.. found a workaround for now.. I remapped the vol - key to function as back. is this a known issue and if so is there a fix?

LY-F1 Advanced

For more than a week no reply. I just wanted to ask what you think about the advanced version of this tablet. It has 1GB Ram. Wonder if any of you has tried it. Any extra feature or improvement on this one?

1GB Ram

More RAM is always better. I got the 512mb one and there is only 130mb ram available after android is loaded to ram. So more would be far better, wish I had got the 1GB one instead.

Info shows LY-F2s.
Its the white colour tab with ICS running as standard, 512 ram and 8gb storage.
Will the LY-F1 roms workon this and does anyone have any clear instructions on root?
Ive found links to image files and roms but no clear info on how to root.

Any help would be appreciated guys. Cheers in advance.

LY-F2S confirmed working with LY-F1 1.2 compatibility patch on Troy's CM9.
I'm using it for few days now.

My finger print is different and that seems to be the only noticeable difference.
