To All, this is only the second time I've installed an Android build, and I haven't fiddled with data yet, but after a really long initial boot & replacing arrrghhh's ts-calibration with my old one (attached) & a few more boots, it seems to work pretty well on my Alltel CDMA Rahp800. Touchscreen was way off before swapping files. The only call I've made was to voicemail & that worked (speakerphone volume too way too low, though). If you've installed Android before, be sure you've deleted all files & folders associated with the old install unless you know what you're doing.
In Windows, unzip the new .tar.bz2 file & rename the new "zImage_20110805_223228" to just "zImage" (without the quotes). Copy it & the new "modules-2.6.27.46-01344-g76a304d.tar.gz" to the root of your SD card, or wherever you installed Android to. DO NOT rename the new "modules" file, but DO delete the old "modules" file. If you can't unzip the .tar file, install 7-zip.Can someone point me in the the right direction of how to change out the kernel in the Frox7 bundle with the just released fixed one?...
