Thanks so much.

Been looking for this app since first bought Samsung Galaxy S1 till now.

It really usefull when

1. Play movie to TV/Monitor and screen off like nokia device
2. gain full speed when transfering file to PC using either Wifi/bluetooth/USB cable(MTP mode)

Its a must for me.

working perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S2 Gt-i9100G

No much changes from 1.5 BETA. But now you can temporarily lid the screen on a bit higher by SHAKING THE DEVICE (Experimental). So here it is:

- After putting the device to sleep, shaking it will turn on the screen to lowest brightness level (so you can do your stuffs). When you finish:
- Shake device again to put it to sleep.

Let's SHAKE!!!

It is because now mhl/hdmi mirroring only need to draw to one graphic output device. One frame buffer has been disabled

Hey!! man love the app, working good with acer a500.
It's just that after turning on the screen and closing the app it keeps running in the background and a little shake put the screen back to lowest brightness, nonetheless thanks for the app .

Was just brainstorming here... can you have the app work with the accelerometer?

What I mean by this is that a natural function would be that when the phone is placed screen down the app would automatically turn the screen off. When its flipped back over the screen can either come back on fully or maybe at the lowest setting (not sure which would be best... or maybe give the option).

In this case the app could probably be used for more than just MHL/HDMI. It could even fix some of the bugs you need to work out as less user input is usually a good thing

Galaxy Nexus problem

Hello,
thanks for the great idea, but....for me is not woring

Well, i plug the MHL cable, then turn on bluetooth and connect external mouse and keyboard, then...turn backlights off and teh screens really shuts down: cool. On the tv the image still there: cool. But....is freezed! I cannot move anything, i cannot start any movie. If I shake the device, the monitor wakes up and the HDMI output works fawlessy, but...my internal monitor still on, even if with very low backlight.

BTW, I've a Galaxy Nexus, with JB 4.1.2, maybe this update is the problem?

Sorry, doesn't work. Galaxy Nexus JB 4.1.1

Turning off backlights and it goes black. Trying to turn on the lights again by pressing the power button and nothing happens. After a minute or two the OS restarts. The logfile is attached.

Galaxy Nexus user, please use version 1.31 as it is most stable to your device. Will fix the bug as soon as possible

I like the idea of the shake, but can you add a way to disable it? lol it seems every time I touch/shake my phone the screen turns off now...

@Ty07allstar, I'd try pressing the power button, shaking it, pressing the power button again and shaking it...it seems once it's shaked off, shaking is the only way to get it back on

Sure, in future release I will add a setting panel, which you may enable / disable, change the sensitivity of the sensor (since each device has different value reported from the accelerometer). In the mean time, if you don't like shaking, use version 1.5 Beta. The only difference between 1.5 Beta 2 and 1.5 Beta is the shaking feature.

Everyone, please note that the latest stable version is 1.31. Beta version is expected to have bug and should be used only if you want to experience new feature and if 1.31 does not work for you (especially for Galaxy S2 / S3 owners).

To those who have problem with the GNexus, the device is weirder then I thought. Having almost identical hardware as S2 (Even the AMOLED screen as well as its native driver) but the method that works for Nexus does not work for the S2 and vice versa. Next version will fix this.

Galaxy Nexus (CM10M2, 4.1.2): shake to wake works, but the screen never turns off again. The sensitivity of the shake is actually prefect in this device, imo. Using the power button to put the device into standby works, but it takes several (5-10) presses before the lockscreen comes up (in pitch black you can see the screen light up black only at minimal brightness).
