Alright guys, you know what this is. Just like the title says, first person to fully unlock or create a flashable patched bootloader (similar to what was done with the HTC ThunderBolt before HTC announced their own unlock tool) that can allow to flash custom kernels, custom recovery, etc... straight from ODIN gets the bounty. DISCLAIMER

Requirements to Receive Bootloader Unlock Bounty

Be first person on XDA to create a method of permanently unlocking or patching the bootloader to allow unrestricted flashing from ODIN

Make a post in this thread with the following:

Proving it works with appropriate photos or screenshots

Providing full step-by-step instructions for which anyone else can follow

Wait for another member to follow the method and confirm it works

Claim your bounty via PM from donator(s)

Payment will be processed between each member and the bounty collector via PM on an individual basis.

Please be advised that if Samsung or Verizon is to release the unlocked bootloader or tool to process unlocking of the bootloader prior to any member of XDA's submission, this bounty automatically becomes invalidated.

*Donator list will be updated on a once a day basis

i'll put $10 in but think it might be hard to judge who the money should go to since we have a bunch of people working together to make this happen

maybe that individual would be kind enough to split it as i think collaborative effort is what's going to get it done.

Just to reiterate, the bounty will go to one individual (first to make the post) but if they worked as part of a team, it will be up to the team to come to an agreement on how to split it.

Correct. Kexec is a wonderful solution to flashing custom kernels, but it is still a round-about approach that brings it's own compatibility issues.
