 its just normal app
working with low end phones like xperia mini pro

I only can say something about my experiences. And it was laggy with this app and no more without. It's fact ;)

But I found a solution by myself, by modding sensors.aires in my thread to that problem ヅ

Here it is

Signature:

Device: Galaxy SII i9100
ROM: SlimBean 4.2.2. build 5
Kernel: DorimanX 9.16
Modem: XXMS2

Hi max_r. First I want to thank you for your post, I think it helped a lot, but I have a problem If you or anybody else can help me.
I did everything step by step how you mentioned.
My phone is Ngm Dynamic Maxi, not so popular so it's kind of hard to find help.

1. The phone is rooted.
2. I installed Android Sensor Box from Google Play.
3. Opened ASB, tapped on Proximity sensor, then on the down-left cornered button ad saw the name of the driver, like in the next screenshot:
Screenshot_2014_06_27_08_13_23.png

The name is:
and the vendor is

4. Now I instaled, opened and granted super usor acces to Hardware Disabler, tapped on settings, sellected directory
to scan:

5. Then I tapped on Rescan for drivers and clicked Click me to confirm:

6.A new very long list of drivers loaded but I coudn't find my proximity sensor driver, I shearched for it many times:
Here is the list of all my device's drivers: http://postimg.org/image/okeanyl23/

The thing is this isn't the only driver that I can't find in the list, none of my drivers from ASB. I can't find none of them and not even the vendors, most of them have Bosch vendor like in the next images:

I would really apreciate if somebody cand help me, my phone fell from my poket and cracked the screen exactlly where the proximity sensor is, And when I'm in call the screen goes black and I have not control over the phone, can't look in to my contacts etc during the call. I would like to manually lock it while in the call to save battery life, but i nthe same time be able to do everything else when I unlock it.
I hope for a good response, thank you again and have a nice day.

This is a photo of my phone:

Proximity Sensor and Screen by Steven Stanley Bayes

Look for Version 2.0 or higher of Proximity Sensor and Screen by Steven Stanley Bayes. Does not require neither root access nor any third party frames nor products.

Go to Google Play Store with your device. Click " APPS ". Click the magnifying glass of

the search. Type exactly, character by character, :

***************************************************************
Proximity Sensor and Screen by Steven Stanley Bayes
***************************************************************

PLEASE, NOTE : MUST BE TYPED EXACTLY AS SHOWN, EXACTLY AT THE " APPS " TAB OF GOOGLE

PLAY STORE, BECAUSE THE SEARCH ENGINE OF GOOGLE PLAY STORE IS VERY SENSITIVE.

Click on the displayed app with the same name and author to download and install. The

application is also available in many other app stores and online which may or may not

show after a general purpose search with google.com and a web browser but some forums

where the links are posted may show.

you're saying if you disable this sensor, the rom becomes "smoother"?

correct me if im wrong, but isnt the proximity sensor responsible for turning the display off while having a phone call?

so if you disable this sensor, the display wont turn off, eating up battery and if youre unlucky youre pressing some soft-buttons onscreen with your ear while talking.

this is for broken proximity sensors ;) not for working
you can search about this problem over xda
lot of people have broken proximity issue

    when broken proximity sensor
when some one try to make call screen goes off :( (wtf)
press any button did not wake-up screen :/

if you want to off your screen when you calling
you can press lock button :D ;)
