Thanks for the great app!
Another idea is to set a timeframe, for instance 11 to 5 o'clock, where the phone can go into flight mode, when the phone id unused.
May be you could add it.
Already scheduled on the todo list. Shouldnt be to far off.

perfect app! maybe you can add a traffic option for disabling data. if there is 2mb traffic in previous 1 minutes then do not disable data? (i gave numbers randomly...)
Interesting, I have not encountered either problem. I can theorize a few causes though. First though, exactly which device with exactly which ROM are you using? And are you 100% sure it was flight mode (with the airplane icon) and not just "no connection" (round icon with diagonal line through it) ?
Hope this helps. I'll continue to use these settings to see if it happens again, and under what circumstances.
I noticed after first day of use, when I reboot my phone and then start SuperPower it doesnt search for apps and it doesnt allow me to chose CPU limitations, I simply couldnt select this option. Then I removed the program and install it again - the same thing happened, I closed SuperPower and opened it again - everything started to work, hmm.
I dont use 3G and always turn off wifi/bt/gps after use.. would this app still benefit me ?
This is a root-detection issue.
For some reason SuperPower was not granted root by the SuperUser app the first few times you started it. Might have something to do with SuperUser service not being loaded yet. Will look into this. (Have not been able to reproduce myself)
I forgot to mention, I checked SuperUser and the app was there with a green dot. By the way - today after I switched on my phone (I use battery till phone dies and then charge it over night) I had exactly the same issue on the first run of app, the second try was ok.
I also got not-waking-up problem with CPU management with On demand enabled, so I had to disable CPU stuff completely.
I also use APNdroid to disable all data connections, not sure though if those two apps will interfere each other.
Also have a suggestion of feature - maybe possible to switch Background Data ON on WiFi connection, and OFF when WiFi is off? Would that be complicated to implement? There is no one click switch for background data, and since I use only WiFi for all types of data exchange, I think would be nice to disable ALL data (including background) for all apps while WiFi is off.
Thank you for the app. By the end of day yesterday I had about 20% of juice left. Well, not enough for the second day, but I guess if my son wouldnt play ashfalt and angry birds for an two or even more hours, I would survive for another day.
Do you mean the "background data" option under device's settings ? I'm not exactly clear on what you're asking. If you're asking what I think you're asking, that may be possible, would have to investigate some.
Just curious, can the cpu downscale much lower than 400Mhz when the screen is off?
If yes, then you can save more battery if you don't tick the option "Automatic CPU speed" under Screen State. Assuming it will stay at 400Mhz all the time when the screen is off.
After some more investigation, this does not seem to be possible at the moment.
The assumption is wrong. The summary of the option clearly states that it changes the max CPU speed, the min is not changed. In case of the Galaxy S series, this means the device will be running between 100 and 400 mhz, depending on device load. Setting the max below 400 will result in unstable device.
OK, just in case you still want my device details - its standard jm1 from Germany, rooted with oclf with rom manager installed and its recovery. The device was purchased last week and was hard reset next day after purchase. I meant background data setting which is found under accounts menu. The brightness is set to lowest possible value, not by system brightness control,I don't remember the widget name though. Why am I asking about this feature? when I had another android phone, disabling background data gave me about 20% of battery life.
