This post will show you how to root your Samsung galaxy ace 2.3.3 or 2.3.x in a simple way.

its similar to what's said over here - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1034145

i found it extremely hard to actually download the root file because websites like hot file were full of adverts and fake links, so I've made it much easier - http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=832963

Rooting for 2.3.3 (Thanks to Russian forum-user with nickname may213) (if it doesn't work try D method):

  1. Download attached file called upd_1.zip and copy it to your sdcard
  2. Turn off your phone
  3. Press POWER+HOME BUTTON
  4. Select update from sdcard, select the file upd_1.zip
  5. After the update completed - reboot
  6. Now you have rooted S5830

That was really easy, thanks!
I made a video tutorial with step by step instructions on how to root Samsung Galaxy Ace based on your article, if you don't mind. This might help people who are not familiar with rooting process.
Here the video youtu.be/jIK7pAu4ddE (sorry, I can't post links yet)

I tried exactly the same procedure a number of times like apply update from sd card, choosing the file, and rebooting the system. It seemed that it did it correctly as it did not give any notification of failure but when I tried to uninstall some apps using root explorer, it says the device has not been rooted and prompt me to root again. Tired of doing several times. I need to delete those unwanted factory set apps. Help plz
