No, not at all. Just been trying to stay focused.
I went through today and grabbed all the bits from the new OTA release that matched up with what was used from stock for ShooterU and plugged it into our official version, and I'm delighted to say that with the exception of an error with libwebcore.so, everything grafted in nicely. This includes a large chunk of the framework, another good swipe of libs, and even the OTA kernel.
Yesterday, I woke up and saw that my decompile/recompile/deodex tool ROMzilla was on the XDA news page, so I was busy re-writing it to fix an error in the compiling subroutine that was sticking the files into .jar/apks using the full directory. Plus, it means I didn't have to manually recompile every time I made a batch of changes. Wound up re-writing a very good chunk of both subscripts to do so.
Aaaaand the day before, I was frantically trying to get my hands on said OTA update so I could rip it apart and make it my *****. I had limited success with that.
While I was doing all that, CMBaughman was working to get 4g going for us again. I got the settings menu implemented again, and he made the changes to the frameworks needed to make that connect with the HTC stuff. It's a lot like what we were doing with CM9 before the official drop, so we at least have a guide as to what to do. The settings menu is implemented and opens - the hardware fires up and displays in logcat - we've just got a few more pieces to put in.
Then there's the toolbox stuff. Basically, the MIUIhome.apk and MiuiSystemUI.apk that 0xD34D re-writes every week for MIUI.us are not the same ones that come with our Chinese base, so we're going to have to extract his edits by comparing a stock one and the modded ones, then applying those changes by hand to our own. This is a bit tricky because the .smali files aren't named the same things. So, we're working on that as well.
We shall see what tomorrow's release brings. I'm hoping that with our official OTA, somebody in China will show us some love and release an official CDMA version. Even if they don't, we have built a very good overlay for tomorrow's release. While I'd like to wait till 4g and toolbox are finished, I don't see any reason to hold off on a release because of them. I've got some meetings to go to tomorrow, but if I have enough time in the AM, I will update the newest version and pop it out for you guys.
