Trackball Lights!
Hopefully this will enable changing of the track ball lights to other than white, with out all the hassle of the other methods!

Now we wait for the developers to work on the emulator apps for the multi-touch feature

Sorry to be thick here, but will I need to re-root? I just rooted mine but did not flash any new recovery images or any of that stuff.

If you have a custom rom it's unlikely you'll get the OTA update.

If you have a stock, rooted ROM, you'll probably get the OTA update, and if you apply it you should be able to re-root in just a few seconds using the same method you used the first time.

Sounds ideal. Does this process wipe the phone?

No, although if you run into trouble you may need to manually wipe.

I presume you have Amon's recovery installed so making a nandroid backup is always a good plan before applying any update.

I don't have that installed. Might flash that first actually

The blogpost doesn't say any thing about touchscreen issues due to "palm wrap" or otherwise. Doesn't mean its not fixed but I'm guessing they would have mentioned it.

As far as the keyboard goes, it already has multi touch...
