yes, GENERIC UK is not released in R2A version yet....maybe wait for the community to cook some R2A with english not branded or use VODAFONE UK version if u want to try R2A firmware now...

And this is the old info:

The key bit to look for is the one in Bold, pretty sure most were on R1, now R2 is available.
You should also make sure that the bits in Red and Green match up if you are looking at doing a straight upgrade.

Ok... thanks anyways. Hopefully we'll see that updated soon. Weird, but SE seems to update UK edition at the end? (Even the updated Facebook panel became available on the UK site at the very end...)

Ok, so I've downloaded the file now. But it's an .image file. How do I flash this ROM to my phone? (since it's not a .nbh file)

can someone point out whats changed after they update??? I would love to know...

Maybe i'll use the Vodafone R2 release... Would that be safe? (instead of waiting for the UK Generic one?)

Cheers, just need to get proper internet access so I can download the file.

Though i have the generic UK one on my device, am gonna update to the Vodafone one. Does anyone thing that might create any sorts of problems?

Also... can anyone please point me to the procedure on flashing the device with the new ROM? I am a newbie at that...

but me post info about ALL files that are available because somebody maybe need even older rom because he want have ITALIAN language (or others) in their device or want to RESTORE branded firmware in case like warranty etc..

so nobody must now HUNT firmwares everywhere or make BACKUPS because they will be there on one place

Hey guys I used to work at Sony Ericsson in the U.S. as a software engineer. R2 signifies a new software branch. So R2Xxxxxx is definately newer than R1XXXXXX. Includes some bug fixes and maybe some new features. I am downloading the X1a generic NAM Rom now.
