I have a Pantech Burst with the official update to Android 4.0.4. I have had an 8 gb card in this phone for over 6 months now. Today I noticed that none of my app updates would go through, it kept saying it didn't have enough memory. Checking my phone I found that I no longer had anything on my SD card. I brought up appkik and tried to move the apps back to the card. The only option I had in appkik anymore was uninstall.

I then took the card, reformatted and tried again. No success. So, I took a 16 gb card and tried it, same results.

According to settings my card is mounted, but the system will only move apps to my internal storage (the phone has internal memory for storage on top of the standard internal memory.)

Anyone have any ideas, this problem just came up out of nowhere after 6 months of perfect functionality.

I also returned my phone to factory settings and it still didn't fix it.

Sorry, I hope that's enough. If any more info is needed let me know.

Sorry to bump myself here, but I kind of got buried pretty quickly and only heard from one person. (Stryke_the_Orc, thank you for acknowledging my existence.)

I don't think there is. Besides, even if you were able to create a Nandroid, it wouldn't matter because you need CWM or TWRP to restore it.

Well, I would suggest, if it isn't too much trouble, flashing back to stock (if possible) or installing a custom ROM, because it may just be a problem with the stock ROM.

Best of luck,

Might work. Even with several years experience with Android and as a PC tech, I still get nervous flashing back to stock on this thing since last time it bricked itself for two weeks (still don't know why it started working again.)

I may have to try it if nothing else works.

I haven't checked on custom roms lately, I know there weren't any that were fully functional as of a few months ago.

Well damn.

I have one more question then. I do have a stock recovery image for this phone that I got from those still working on the rooting process. Is there any way for me to simply be able to extract what I need out of it (I am missing a single EFS file and I need to double check the vold.fstab and the mmc mount points.

I saw a few threads on getting these back and I have the original EFS folder, but not the nv_dat.bn (at least I think that is what it is called).

I mean, the phone works fine with the external SD unmounted. With it mounted though, certain programs cause it to crash a lot (Dolphin Browser, Stock Browser and Facebook).

I think it may be a mount or memory issue as the phone ia supposed to have "512" MB RAM but only registers as 300 MB maximum total.

I looked for guides on decompiling these boot and recover images, but nothing works.

Ok, this is making me feel stupid. Tried installing the different roms. Instead of booting to bootloader I get a screen with a dead Android and a red warning symbol. I can get the bootloader menu after that screen but my power button does not select any of the options, nor does anything else. I also tried using a bootloader unlock file (gbboot.zip) with the exact same problems.

I then tried using Clockwork recovery to load the roms, it also didn't work, clockwork booted me to the dead android figure and warning symbol.

Oh and reverting to stock did absolutely nothing for me.

Hello... I have a Wikipad WP003 its a 10" that will never see the light of day
I got this as a Beta tester when Wikipad was going to realise the 10" Wikipad but due to some bad hardware and a supplier going under it was never realised. I'd like to try to load a custom ROM but I think it might be impossible... since none of the hardware is listed (save for the Tegra 3) and there are only about 100 of them out there... I live in Adams MA if I'm near anyone who actually knows something about Developing I would love to work with them... seeing as the 7" will have the same chips so you will get a jump on the game...

This Wikipad has Jellybean 4.1.1 installed and its the developer version there is one glaring issue I'd like to fix and thats the SD card it can read the cards but not write to them (has the card reader listed as being emulated) I posted awhile back with a screenshot but no one responded.

The version of Jellybean is very Vanilla and I'd like to ad some flair and some nice n fast ROM

is this a pipe dream or could I do something with it? I get horrid battery life and would like to see just how far it can go... I am very good with following directions and could do things for you if you would like to explore this rare tablet.... thanks have a great day...

Hello
I am trying to Deodex my SG4 stoke rom secphone.odex
I read almost all threads here before posting this but still have some errors..
that's the steps I did

1-Pull framework folder from my phone and put it under c:\framework

2-run this command
java -jar baksmali.jar -d C:\framework -x secphone.odex
and it generate the "out" folder..

3- run this command
java -Xmx512m -jar smali.jar out -o classes.dex
and it generates the classes.dex file

4-Open the secphone.apk with 7zip and add the classes.dex on the root..

now when i put the secphone.apk on my phone and set permissions, the phone app always gives error that it stopped and keep poping this error until i restore the original apk..

whats missing me here to have it work?
regards
