How can you get 3g working?

When I input apn setting it disappeared... :/

Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App

It's an issue of several mobile providers, for example your T-mobile (known issue of 7.2 and, I believe, Oxygen ROM too). Developers work on that problem.
Here in Russia we don't have those issues, but my wife always lose her internet connection on this ROM.

u like colors?? thats the same reason some of us wants theme chooser.

For those who think themes r bloat they can remove it.. but for those who think the other way round it is difficult to add theme chooser.

now stop pretending as the God Father for popdog. i m addressing popdog so he can answer for himself i suppose. u dont hafta reply to each n every post people write even if they have asked it to others!!

if u can help u r most welcome. but if people ask help from some1, u shud not put ur nose in btw if u cant help.

If you READ first post you will understand that popdog will never reply to you :D

And if you need themechooser just flash another ROM and there you go u have themechooser

" Popdog: Oxygen ROM is a highly optimized AOSP rom with only a few added features. I also intend to keep it that way. There will be no added features unless the good people from Oxygen want to add them. The rom is like this for a reason. So requests like "can you add theme manager?", "can it make me coffee?" will be ignored. "

I am just asking for theme chooser for this reason. Devs at oxygen forums had already put theme chooser in their ROMs. So according to popdog as mentioned above, he shud now put theme manager in this!! or he shud change the note to "I will never put any features to this ROM. so Faaak oFF..!

It was never added in original oxygen 2.3.2 by AdamG(as in "good people" as stated, with other core devs that build oxygen with AdamG, not like unofficial porters etc) other devs do what they like.

AdamG removed the theme chooser in v2.3. that means he had it in previous versions!!

Whatever be the case i wont argue with any1 now coz the Dev itself isnt courteous enough to respond even to clear the matter.

courteous... lovely lovely word....

Anyway since you really are pushing things around here, a more precise response than
"As for theme manager i've said it many times i don't have to repeat agian. Wait for mdroid's nitrogen which is themed. I won't add theme manager because i don't want to turn this rom into cyanogenmod."
should be in order.

So here it is, a to-the-point response from myself in person:
"I will not add theme manager to this rom. Not now, not ever. I am aware that AdamG had theme manager in a previous version just like he had FM Radio. But he removed both of them for a reason of his own. Maybe he had something personal against people listening to FM Radio or theme-ing his rom. Or maybe (and i'm just throwing this out there) he had a valid reason like THE ROM IS SLOWER WITH THESE FEATURES. I am trying to keep the rom as close to the original as possible. I have posted my sources, go ahead and add stuff to it and post it and say i'm an asshole for not adding them in my release."

There you have it... an "official" response from popdog123 himself. :)

Strange problem

Hey I tried to flash Oxygen 2.3 after full wipe(including /boot and /system) ... installed Titanium backup, restored 10 apps, next morning I tried to install an app and the phone freezed(there wass no OC), I pulled out the battery and restarted it and observed that all /data apps were gone... I even tried reflash after full wipe and even flashed franco's 2OCT kernel but the same problem again ... I didn't had any such problem on Oxygen v1.1 .32 version...

you don't get the point. the people at oxygen did not include theme chooser in oxygen 2.3.2

look at changelog of official v2.3 http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=982

Lets respect the DEVs...they are doing this to help us out...nothing as such that we are their customers and they need to respond ...we are not paying a penny to even demand anything :p...if you want something..."REQUEST" :D is what it is and yes its upto DEV to oblige to it or not...and finally for your theme chooser...you have 101 options available else where or develop for yourself..."THIS ROM IS FOR PERFORMANCE NOT FOR SOME FUNKY LOOK" :p

hi , i got some problem here.
i use this rom with tha-gb kernel v1.1 , and i just realize that i can't connect my phone with my computer , it always back to the homescreen when i choose to connect it with my computer.
so i must go to the recovery to mount the sdcard , and that's annoying:(
anyone experiencing this ?

Thanks for the response pop!!

To death with the ever repeating requests for theme management....

Yay.

May I ask, how troubling would it be to do a onetime zip setup of the current state of the Tom, but for the old baseband? What limitations would be holding us back?

If not, is there a way to get the latest rom on the old bb. With working data on T-Mobile? How can I accomplish this on my own?
Thanks in advance!!

    Well hello!

Please read this post regarding the development of the rom: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=29811287#post29811287

This is my attempt to port oxygen rom (and i think i've done a pretty good job) on our lgp500.
Please remember this: anything that is written here or in the unwritten law of common sense can and will be ignored.
Now let's get to the facts:

    • Oxygen ROM is a highly optimized AOSP rom with only a few added features. I also intend to keep it that way. There will be no added features unless the good people from Oxygen want to add them. The rom is like this for a reason. So requests like "can you add theme manager?", "can it make me coffee?" will be ignored.
    • This ROM is now for new baseband only (as of v2.2). I see people on this forum have a hard time understanding this so i'll write it again. This ROM is for new baseband only.
    • No need to flash GAPPS now... included in zip file
    • There is no need for screenshots since this is basically AOSP. So just look around for some AOSP screenshots.
    • I am not responsible for any damage to your phone. You chose to flash the ROM it's your responsibility.

Now as for how to flash it:
copy to sd->wipe data, cache, dalvik->flash (i flashed with clockworkmod, but might work with others)
No need to flash gapps now... Included in zip

Here is a nice review made by mr Brett Wagner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RAcnco5LUE

Changelog and bugs in second post.

    I'd like to thank:
    • mik_os for his wonderful job porting cyanogen. Also his port was the base for this port so big thanks to him
    • mikegapinski for pointing me in the right direction
    • the wonderful people at openetna for sharing their sources. That's where most of the bugfixes came from
    • the oxygen rom team for creating this great rom

Changelog is now available and maintained in the google code project wiki.

Hello again (after a long while)

I'm sorry for my absence but as i said my studies were kind of overwhelming for a while... Anyway, i return here with bad news.

I will not continue to work on Oxygen for the following reasons:
    - I simply don't have the time to do it and it also does not help me at all with what i'm studying (i'm a med student :D )
    - Oxygen 2.3.2 (GB) has reached a state where it is very stable for most of the users. I know there are still small bugs here and there but most of those are app related or simply features of stock AOSP GB that people don't like, but that really is the Google way. I am very proud of what i've done and glad that people enjoy it and use it daily.
    - I (personal opinion) believe that GB is the most we can squeeze out of this phone without sacrificing stability or performance. I think ICS is just not going to happen on this phone like GB is. There are a few ICS roms out there for our phone but none of them are nearly as stable or as fast as GB (not because of the developers of those roms of course, but because of lack of proprietary software that is in use in GB)
    - I don't have a powerful enough computer to make fast builds. There is nothing more frustrating than compiling 5-6 hours of code and putting it on the device just to see that it's not working. Horrible...

Thank you all for a great ride. It has been an honour to bring this rom to P500. I will still be here on the forum to answer any questions you may have and to enjoy the work that devs do.

    Care for some updates?

On Oxygen ICS i managed to fix wifi, ril, mass storage and gps... still to come: live wallpapers, camera...

Now i just need a nice new kernel for it...

Fixes will also come for Oxygen GB. Stay tuned :)

New GB version uploaded. You can find both the download and the changelog at the usual location. Please check out the issues on the google code page and report on the ones that mention "NeedTesting". Hopefully this will be the last GB release.
It's been a great run but it's time to work on ICS :D
