It appears if you use the "stock" Neutrino theme Talk is greyscale, but as soon as you apply a CM7 theme via theme chooser, you get color again.

but i like Neutrino theme!! :)

so clean and beauty!!

If having Talk in greyscale is the price to pay, i'll stay like there.. i'd rather having colours 'cause i heavily use Talk, so have coloured icons can easier show instantly who's online, who's busy and so on.. it's only a minor improvement, but not so important to change the whole theme..

I'm much more worried about the alarm thing..

I don't think it's necessary. Just flash the patch right after flashing the rom, as others have stated. If he were to fix the original file he would have to take it down, make the changes, and then re-upload it. Too much work for such an easy fix(patch). :)

When will be fixed the original file?

You may be stuck with greyscale then. I'm sure Notorious will touch on this subject since its been mentioned a lot on this thread, and he keeps really good communication going with his users.

The alarm thing should be fun. I don't know what time zone you are in... but I'm in Eastern. So in about 15.5 hours my alarm will be going off. I will either be able to shut it off normally, or I'll wake up the whole house fighting to get it to shut up ;)

I'll post in the morning about my experience with the alarm.

Edit: Or I could just set an alarm for 2 minutes from now... I'll edit this post in 2 minutes.

Edit2: Two alarm tests, both shut off properly!

Yes, simple solution.. set an alarm for one minute away and then report back haha

edit:

For those of you running the latest Neutrino rom, is there still a settings issue where the settings are not saved?

i'm central Europe.. yes, tried by myself with a 2 minute away alarm and no torubles.. :D

but it was sooo cool think at you waiting 15.5 hours to see what's will happen, so i shut up myself..

Anyway, an alarm like that will sure do its job!! I have no doubt to be full awake after all that work to shut it up!!

I do a LOT of tweaking in the settings. The only thing that didn't "stick" for me, was SwiftKeyX after the first reboot. Since then, it (and all my other settings) have "stuck" properly on each additional reboot. I have rebooted the phone no less than 5 times since wiped and re-flashed 2.1 + the fix + some addons.

Would you like to try this motif as alarm? My favorite since my old Nokia.
Put into a directory named alarm into your internal memory then select from alarm settings.

Thanks for your work!

Quick question, if I'd like to only add one language (guessing swedish isn't included on the base download) and I have no use at all for tts, is there anyway I could add that only? basically only need it for dictionary use with the keyboard..
Thanks!

thank you for the patch. One question, i left my phone off the plug over night. Batter was at 99% for some reason it charges to 100% then i unplug it and it drops to 99% instantly but anyways, i woke up this morning and my batter was at 67%...is this normal? i had wifi off but data and everything else was on. Is this the reason as to why it does this. I'm running v2.1EE

Also anything on getting the colors from gtalk back to stock instead of grey?

I don't think that's normal, although this is the first time I've actually gotten battery life approaching what others have. I'm on 2.1EE and I'm currently at 23 hours and have 35% battery left after somewhat light usage. It drains less than 1% per hour with sync active, fb messenger, Gchat, Gmail, etc.

Make sure you are undervolting and if you use setCPU make the screen-off profile the lowest and second lowest frequencies (if you read back in the posts, there is some error that causes SetCPU to use the highest freq if you only allow it to use the lowest). I hope that makes sense

Ok, so i just bought SetCPU and created a profile called "Screen Off" and the max is set to 216 and so is the min. What do i do with the undervolting that you speak of?

Also, is anyone else able to do video chat over 3g/H+ with this rom? I just tried it right now and it told me that i need to be connected to wi-fi. I installed the Gtalk add on but not sure if that is just for gtalk apk though.

Can you share what your successful undervolting settings are? I'm curious to see "how low can you go" on this ROM.

Set the max to 312 and the min to 216, otherwise it may actually get stuck at 1000! According to others. My phone is less able to UV than others', so hopefully my settings will work for you:

1000: -50mv
912: -50mv
750: -50mv
608: -100mv
456: -150mv
312: -225mv
216: -300mv

The key is knowing you can only have a maximum voltage gap of 100mv between each frequency step, anything else and it won't undervolt at all. DO NOT "Set on Boot" until you're sure the UVing you have is stable.

So the settings issue is still there, you have to reboot for the settings to stick and take effect ?

    - Massive 54% cut in size

    - Ext4 w/o journaling
Removes the journal from Ext4 which heavily increases I/O speeds and makes everything faster.

    - Kernel and Networking tweaks
Improves kernel efficiency as well as faster Wi-Fi and data. Also contributes to much better overall efficiency and smoothness

    Please read before downloading

This is an enormously STRIPPED DOWN ROM. Many features YOU need may NOT be available in the base package. If there is any loss of functionality, you'll need to flash an ADDON by clicking the link below.

Before you download, ensure your contacts are saved onto your SD card or memory card. Contact/calender sync is not included natively, you must flash the 'Sync addon.'

This is a CM7 BASED ROM. So anything that doesn't work on CM7 like Webtop will NOT work on this ROM also. Please do not request non-CM7 features.
    Install Instructions:
**Firstly make sure you have the latest RomRacer's recovery!!**
Then choose to wipe using any one of the following two wiping methods:
    For clean wipe:
Moto-fastboot -w, erase system/boot/preinstall, then install from INTERNAL .ZIP!

    For easy wipe:
Go into recovery, and install from INTERNAL .ZIP!
Wiping data may not be necessary with every update, but it's best to flash clean. However, if you regularly flash the updates, you'll most likely need to wipe data at some stage anyway.
**DO NOT WIPE DATA AFTER INSTALLING!!!**
Make sure you flash the 'Lite gapps' in to get the barebone google apps.

Then, after booting, click on script manager, navigate to /system/etc and run NitroCharger.sh as ROOT and at BOOT!
It is also HIGHLY recommended to download the GPS Mod found in #2.
    Then you're done.

Q: Are you going to be working on CM9?
Yep, I'm working on it right now :)

Q: My phone doesn't boot with this ROM - it get's stuck on the dual-core screen :(
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ROMRACER'S RECOVERY!!!! CHANGE IT NOW!

Q: Why is performance settings in CMparts removed?
A lot of options in performance settings will conflict with the tweaks in this ROM. All the options in performance settings have been included in the ROM anyway, but have been optimised for the best settings. So don't worry about it. If you REALLY want to head over to performance settings, then long press on homescreen and select shortcut. Add CMparts>Performance Settings and you will gain access. But seriously, there's really no point.

Q: My phone shows that I have very low free RAM!
Here's a fat explanation on how the RAM works in Android.

Q: My phone can't scan files on my SDcard?
CM7 mounts the SDcard and internal memory opposite to Motorola. To switch back to 'stock style,' navigate to /settings/CMsettings/application > Check 'use internal storage' and reboot.

Q: Does this ROM support landscape mirroring?
    Yep.

Q: How do you get those cool 'ICS style' rings like in the screenshots?
Go to Settings/CMsettings/Lockscreen/Style options/Ring-Lock style and change to 'holo.'

Q: What does the BOOST script do?
It will 'defrag' databases, so make them smaller (faster to read, so apps will open faster) as well as freeing the caches. Do NOT run this script at boot!!!!! It is to be used if your phone starts to feel a big sluggish or laggy, then just run the script with SU and that's it.
