2.8.7.0 is up !

Edit: UNTESTED....I tested the ace version which usually means this one is good as well but let me know if something is funky.

For me 2.8.7.0 does not work. Phone does not boot into recovery.

/edit:

It seems that there was a problem flashing recovery via flashify... as 2.8.6.1 reflash does not work either.
AS per now.. i can't flash a recovery via fastboot as my PC still has this fastboot driver probs that i can't get rid off...
Any other ideas on how to flash the recovery properly?

/edit:

isnt there a way to flash a recovery via .zip in bootloader? but i can't find how to name it.

What device have u? Coz i dunno what PK76 is..

U need the "recovery.img" for ur device and the "andoid-info.txt" file then zip those 2 and name the zip file PG88IMG (desire s) then put the zip on the root of ur sdcard (not in folder) and bootloader will find it.

TWRP 2.8.7.0

Desire S, Rom CM11 latest nightly, S-on

Trying to Flash TDT plus L Speed and getting this for all zip files

'E: Failed to sysMapfile '/sdcard/download/********.zip'

Log file attached

From searching the solution is to go back to an earlier version of TWRP but that is before the version of TWRP that works with CM11 and using fastboot on a WIN10 pc which is a flaky proposition currently.

From what I understand is SAGAOPT is a trick when you treat your SD Card as a Internal Memory, so you can install bigger ROMs. It needs a special SAGAOPT rom aswell.
I see. Thanks for the reply.

I was asking about SAGAOPT because I wanted to flash CM13, since it's up to date and because AOSP is supposed to be faster and smoother than OEM roms.
However, I've discovered that CM12.1 is super slow and laggy with (any) gapps package. Since CM12.1 is like that then CM13 on this device is nothing for me as I need gapps.
So, I'll settle with Fallout Evolution 5, it doesn't implode from using Play Store :D

No offense to any DEVs out there, I'm just sharing my observations.

TEAM WIN RECOVERY PROJECT (for saga)
    is STILL ALIVE

    Description

TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by roughly 4 people at this point. We also have a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers.

Team Win was originally formed to work on porting WiMAX to CM7 for the HTC EVO 4G. After our work on the EVO 4G we wanted to work on a project that would work on more devices than just the EVO 4G and we settled on working on a recovery. Today TWRP is the leading custom recovery for Android phones.

A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom “ROM” like OmniROM

You can find the source code for TWRP at github.com/omnirom/android_bootable_recovery/

    TWRP is:

    • Fast
    • Stable
    • Reliable
    • User Friendly
    • Highly Customisable
    • Propably the biggest and best community driven Recovery Project
