Mikevhl, would you like a small donation to your "heres cm7 for your chacha everyone" fund??

The sooner you get a chacha the better! :)

He already got himself a ChaCha, but you still should donate him if you feel that he deserves. I just donated 10 USD... if he does something for the ChaCha community (actually, he already does a LOT), we should really appreciate his effort, because there are something like ~10 ChaCha users willing for a CyanogenMod 7... the small userbase is a downside that doesn't motivate him (or any developers) at all.

Let's hope everything goes great. I'll try to gather more ChaCha users from facebook and other forums to xda-developers and CM7, so the userbase will be larger.

LOL, these days RIM would kill for anything that doesn't go through their datacenters, not only for a great OS like Android!

I don't have the chacha yet. But I will get it very soon and I have already ordered an XTC Clip.

I can still offer support with my phone :P Thinking of trying other roms (for Desire for example).

Exactly, trying to get a rom running on the chacha and then finding out which proprietary files we need.

Update: touchscreen issue is not kernel related. Possibly an issue with the permissions.

Wow.. How well does it work? The link is dead, by the way.
I guess this makes my work kinda obsolete, damn.. I will repay my donators if they want to, of course. Just kinda stupid that I already ordered an XTC Clip..

Thanks, I fixed the link. Basically due to the strange screen resolution the PIN screen and the lockscreen are not fitting properly. In addition both touchscreen and keyboard don't work, which is a problem obviously. I might try the msm7227 kernel from CyanogenMod to see if it makes a difference (I doubt it).
