All,

..hope you can gimme a hand on this - Tasssadar once reported the same but the answers did not give me a solution - I tried to flash MultiROM but the zip failed to install with this error

Extracting binaries...
Injecting boot image...
assert failed: run_program("/tmp/inject_boot.sh") == 0
Updater process ended with ERROR : 7
Error installing ZIP file /external_SD/Download/MultiROM-v30x-170115-UNOFFICIAL-amami.zip
Updating partition details...

I came from stock...unlocked and rooted...then installes DStriker SP008...all fine so far. Did it same way coming from Dstriker few days ago and the Bootloader was installed...then i flashed new kernel and everything was mixed up. So i went back to stock...as said...rooted etc. and installed SDtriker SP008 again.

Now I want to try again the whole thing but I dont manage to install Mutlirom zip this time...

Any idea where my fault is? Dont know what I have missed this time...or what I can do...do I need to wipe before? Anything I need to make sure to do in terms of preparing right? Multirom was taken latest download from XDA https://forum.xda-developers.com/son...-v30x-t3005654

Makes me crazy especially as I once manage to install it...but not a second time...

Any advise is highly appreciated

Thx guys
Michael

Install the app from play store and try it. Instead of flashing the zip. Download the latest one. If failed to inject boot sector in the current rom. So boot into your os and try the app. Give root permissions.

V33 is latest version.

SuperSu is better. Try that.

not sure if anyone is interested
Even through Tasssadar has not updated multirom there are updated forks.
if you go to github.com/multirom-dev
you can download multirom-dev's forked sources updated to 3.1.1 twrp,
they are:
libbootimg
Forked from Tasssadar/libbootimg

multirom
Forked from Tasssadar/multirom

Team-Win-Recovery-Project
Forked from Tasssadar/Team-Win-Recovery-Project

I have compiled them and not sure if it's the code or my nexus 7 2012 but
on the add rom, sailfish and ubuntu choices overlap and can only choose sailfish.
overwise i now am running BeanStalk-7.1.2-20170413-grouper as secondary rom

although i know that everyone should compile and use the multirom feature at their own risk, but if you can share your build then brave xda members might want to try updated multirom.

ubuntu / Sailfish ROM is very much unmaintained for our devices so that entry should not hurt anyone.

I put them in github.com/LCLWolf/compiled
After I try some of the other forks i found, i will either use one of them or try to modify multirom-dev twrp to my liking.
edit 8/4/17
added newly compiled with easier to tell multirom button, fixed spacing between ubuntu and sailfish, correct mrom selection from ubuntu image to multirom mrom

@LCLoneWolf - Thank you again for bringing MultiROM for the old Grouper up to date. I currently have PureNexus 6.0 as a primary and RR-N-v5.8.3 w/ BeansGapps as a secondary.

Fix the links for Plasma Active Nexus 7 2012 Grouper, would be greatly appreciated. I understand if newer devices come and projects get abandoned. But those less fortunate or those that can only afford OLD devices like me would like to see these threads still actively maintained

Did you try the mirror at Dev-Host? - http://d-h.st/Khh

This might also work: https://www.ulozto.net/!BeGx1c1nR/pl...-20140121-mrom

Thanks the second link worked but it's super throttled, oh well at least I got it now. I hate looking all over the internet for things it's a huge pain because most links and threads are closed/dead in other forums.

A lot of times, I'll "Google" the full name of the file and come across other locations where it's located.
