Right, now that is too far off to not consider a bug indeed, it also helps to know which recovery you are bugreporting for (cwm/philz).

I'll see what I can do to fix that.

Euh... okay

That's odd at best... I'll see if I can get you a special version to debug it.

What are the implications of encrypting my phone and sd card, it could cause problems to backup, restore or mount sd card?

I'm asking this because my company changed it's security policies and now I can only access my corporative email if I encrypt my phone (before only PIN/password lock was necessary, but one employee lost his phone and some sensitive data was stolen).

Got some issues while installing process.

Z1 with 4.3 f/w, having partial root, using Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.7.70-BETA.installer.zip

It looks like installer can't mount mount system as r/w even after I granted root to ADB shell as was mentioned in instructions. Are there any solutions for this?

You can't install this way, you need install using recovery.

I don't have any, that's why I'm trying to install it, lol.
So, title of the thread is misleading and I can't install this recovery with locked bootloader?

I know there are xposed modules that can disable the security requirements for exchange, although they are for AOSP it might work? maybe worth a try.

You can, but not while being in 4.3 with no recovery sadly.
