Any workaround for that?

Search and install "SafetyPatch" on Magisk. It solves it. : )

Great rom, thanks for you amazing work @gwolfu.

One thing that I've noticed on this rom, and it was present on other Android 10 roms, it's when I'm charging the phone, or if I just simply touch the screen when lockscreen it's on, the bottom message it's way too low and part of it doesn't shows up. Apart of that, everything seems to work just fine. : )

Hello everyone,
Please can anyone explain to me the correct steps for dirty flash new update?
I am currently using Crdroid 6 29/10/19 & 11.0.5 firmware.

Do all the following steps?

1. Flash again 11.0.5 firmware and rebbot to recover.
2. Wipe system & chache.
3. Flash new Crdroid 6 & gapps & DFE?

Thanks!

I had a password set for boot before flashing which I used to login before flashing too but after flashing ver.6(I was on some Aug version crDroid) it is not accepting the password. I am not able to boot in my phone. HELP!

Edit: So, after googling I found that this is a issue with Aug/Sep update. Google screwed us and they haven't provided any solution either. So guys if you have PIN on your phone then remove it ASAP. Only solution as of now seem to be is factory reset. https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/12740836?msgid=15068331

This might help some people, but I've been messing around with CrDroid and I noticed that I was getting stuck in boot for the latest CrDroid, so I did some investigating.

I discovered that I always get a boot loop when I'm flashing the Gapps Beta 1105. When rolling back to the older version of Gapps, the installer works fine and the phone boots up as usual.

So yeah, TLDR: use the older Gapps.

@gwolfu does the latest crdroid has the support for 3rd party launchers... Earlier upon installing the 3rd party launchers the gestures change to old school three button navigation.

No issues here with the latest gapps as dirty flash.

Keyboard selection icon gone

Hi, I used the 2019-11-03 version and did a dirty upgrade to 2019-11-10 (wiped system & cache, reinstalled magisk),
and now the keyboard selection icon in the taskbar that shows up when the keyboard is open is gone.
All keyboards are still activated in the languages & input settings. Any help?

Edit: The volume panel also doesn't show.
After further investigation I discovered that magisk seems to be the problem.
If I reflash the ROM and don't install magisk, everything works, but as soon as I flash magisk the issues appear again.
Edit 2: Turns out it was Smali Patcher; think I may need to create another magisk module for it. Will test when I get home.

Installed ROM via TWRP and it didn't accept password, then downgraded twrp. Now twrp accepts password but android doesn't. After losing my whole day to this nonsense I was forced to format everything from twrp. Reinstalled ROM and got same password wrong error on boot(I didn't even set a password this time, WTF!). Then replaced twrp with orangefox recovery and now ROM doesn't ask for password. But orangefox says gapps are wrong architecture and won't install. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Installed back twrp(while having ROM already installed) then installed the same gapps without problem. Not encrypting my phone this time. TWRP, google updates and orangefox all are bugged. I won't get back my 8h I spent restoring my phone back which I didn't need to. Hope those with password error get to fix it now. Only thing I forgot to try was replace twrp with orangefox before formatting data so try that first. Hope you don't have to suffer like me.

Wiped cache and system and flash ROM, GApps 05/11 and Magisk 20.1 without problem. Booting fine.
Finally charging phone icon and battery info in lockscreen without gone :good:
Sometime phone stuck/freeze and have to wait 4-5 second to "unlock" from the freeze when type message on WhatsApp with GBoard. (i'm on WA Beta but the issue continue in stable release from PlayStore, idk if problem come from GBoard, other app no issue like this)
Hope can fix sound charging stop work for me (android.media.process crash)

Thanks dev :good:
