Note: It is Highly Recommended that you Wipe before installing Liberty 1.5 even if you have 1.0 installed.

Liberty is tested and supported on only 320/340 droid X’s.

Liberty is the result of a collaboration between Kejar31 and Jrummy16. The base and apps from this ROM are the continuation of GummyJAR’s base while the scripts and toolbox are the continuation of Rumm’s tools. Together Liberty is a evolution in the DroidX/2 ROM scene.

Glad to see this out and about in the open. Quick question though; did you make it so you can manually set custom overclocks at boot?

Bugfixes are always a nice addition to see in as well.

What is Cytown Phone? I saw the application for G1, but never found a droid x version.

Thats because I was the first person to get cytown phone working on the DX/D2

Anyways Cytown phone is awesome go into settings-->Call settings and you will see the awesomeness

I am so excited and depressed at the same time. I am so excited to see the next update for Liberty and I am depressed because I gotta wait a couple of hours until I get home to install the latest version. I might try and download it over 3g but for some reason I don't trust doing it that way. Would much rather download over wifi and we don't have that here at work.

I did it over 3g and it worked fine. I made sure to do a backup first. Not sure how much work you'll get done after you install it. I couldn't put my phone down last night till I passed out in my recliner.

HRm.. seems like LP keeps FC. 3d gallery seems to be slower on 1.0 but i'm gonna roll back to stock .340 rooted and load this again. then restore all my apps and data and hope this fix's it. eww... as i was typing this i tried to remove some widgets and my phone re-booted.

I keep getting a force close on titanium back up when trying to restore apps (in batch mode, manually it works fine, but still force closes on some occasions)

You can get the correct size gingerbread keyboard from the market. It works like a charm.

Ran into a small glitch after updating from 1.0 to 1.5 without wiping:

OC with JRummy's app did not work on boot. I toggled the module on and off and it's now working.

I factory wiped then installed Liberty 1.5 and I'm getting reboots every minute after booting. All by itself reboots. If I try and use an app...reboots. going to wipe and flash again.

What really sucks is that it doesn't even give me enough time to download and install bootstrap! I'm just stuck in bootloops and not around a PC I can use. Any suggestions?

Put my phone in airplane mode and that stopped the reboot issue. Now going to try WiFi or Titanium to get my bootstrap back.

<3 to team liberty once again.
    Thanks guys.

    Aaaannnd...again...
I'm sorry, but I need the Blur gallery...I need it.
And I can't seem to get it to work with 1.5...and I did indeed have it working in 1.0.
The vast majority of my thumbnails for my photos/videos are blank...and when I click on them they:
    a) open up for a split second and then return to the previous screen.
    b) return a "file cannot be displayed or played" error and returns me to the previous screen.

The pictures/videos are NOT corrupt...as they work fine in the stock gallery and when I transfer them to my computer.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated...
I've tried mounting/unmounting the SD card...completely removing it...
    Force stopping the moto gallery...
And rebooting my phone...all to no avail.

But again...thank you guys so much. 1.5 smashes an already fantastic 1.0.

Yea I am free to get some work in on Liberty tonight. I am going to work on a couple of the apps people have been asking for.. Blur gallery is one of them.. Once tested we will include them in the toolbox for easy install

Rom is working great so far. Titanium running with no problems as well as Launcher Pro. One quick question, does swype work on this rom? I can find where to change swype settings, but nowhere to actually turn swype on. First time working with a rom so be easy on me if i'm missing the obvious answer.

in a text input field, touch and hold until you get a menu, then select "input method" and change that to Swype.

hello my great grandfather is still using this phone. How can I install Liberty? Has a new version arrived after the last version posted here ??

no new version has been released. its basically a dead project. things moved to kitkat release, but even that has stalled out. not saying that one of us old time devs won't revisit it, but you know how life is.
