Hey. Ummm, I am hoping that the people here would be able to help me, how do u make it so that a system app doesn't get removed when u wipe user data, even apps that come with the rom get removed when I wipe user data in cwm, is there anyway to stop that.

Check & see if the apps are installed to /system or /data. System doesn't get wiped during wipe user data, but does get formatted with a new ROM install.

I am sure it system cause I put them there, I put es file explorer in system so that if I have to wipe it will still be there, but yesterday I wiped and it was gone, I had to reinstall it without a file broswer which also got wiped, I was lucky that I had a old titanium backup updatem.zip file to flash to get somewhere

why do i get "Error: Aborting x.x.odex!"

none of the file gets deodex..

i am on Ubuntu VM with host as windows 7

ROM : XWLPD (s2 rom)

You need to go to your tools folder . then deodex file and change your api level to the correct one.
