Light sensor always on ?

Hi guys,

I was searching how I can improve my battery life and I noticed that the light sensor is almost always ON when my screen is ON : 1h28 out of 1h38...

I'm using Sense6 ViperRom, ElementalX 14 kernel and I don't think I have any settings keeping the sensor ON (such as auto brightness)

Is it the expected behavior ?
