I saw the article on XDA portal and decided to give it a try on my Xperia X10. And it works! So it is not only working on the 2011 line of Xperias.

I only had a few bugs, but if I am right, they are the same as on the other devices;
"More..." gives a FC
Volume-slider gives a FC

Nevertheless great work.

yes i know,
this mod have been tried even on cm7 roms of non-xperia 2011 (and non SE) devices and it's works !!
although there're some unpredictable fcs..

Works great, but the icons on the Xperia S style Settings were low res for the Arc. Other than that, great job!
ok thanks for ur feedback,
i'll try to add hdpi version later.. :)

i like ur settings.apk. thank u for ur work

but there is one thing i dont like - duplicate (or even triplicate if this word exist) of apps settings in storage settings.
if it has to be u should move one from sd card above "total space".
yes there's, but i will not move it unless the original ICS's settings moved it,
OR many people request it.. ;)

What are the requirements so that i can install this mod?

I have rooted .58 stock ROM SE Live w/ Walkman(wt19i) with CWM. I have a LOCKED Bootloader.

I tried to install the .zip file using CWM. Ofcourse i backup my settings.apk first.
-install zip from sdcard or renamed the file to update.zip and applied it.

But no changes at all after reboot. The settings icon is even gone.

try this :
1. delete ur current Settings.apk / move it to another folder for backup
2. reboot
3. make SURE that Settings is NOT available on the menu and it isn't accessible now
4. manually push my modified Settings.apk to system/app
5. give it correct permission (644)
6. reboot
7. report me the result

If you want to share this mod, PLEASE refer any link to this thread,
So people wont miss any new update.. :)

So I re-took my past work and do it here now..

In this mod I brought new Settings style that should be work on all XPERIA 2011 GingerBread based ROM (both stock or modified one),
the style was inspired from Google's Android 4.0 (ICS) ROM.. :)

Let's take a look at these pictures :
    attachment.php
    attachment.php
    attachment.php

I managed to edit the original Gingerbread Settings.apk so it'll (at least) looked like ICS's Settings.apk

    :p FEATURES :
    - New Settings style
    - Edited texts
    - Rearranged entries
    - Changed app icon
    - Changed internal icons

    BUGS :
    - The 'Location Service' and 'Location & Security' is still pointing to the same preference screen
    - FCs on Voice Input

    :D INSTALLATION :
    1. Make backup of your original Settings.apk
    2. Download the .zip and flash it with CWM recovery
    3. Reboot, enjoy the taste.. :D

    FUTURE PLANS :
    - Fix the bugs
    - Fix more text and entries
    - Add Data Usage

    DOWNLOAD:
    -- MDPI --

    ANOTHER VERSION :
    Here's XPERIA S style that I've made..
