Type fastboot -i 0x1949 devices

Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Came out blank, the Kindle shows a fastboot animation with red and green lights blinking, the device is visible under the device manager as well.

Code:
C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>adb reboot-bootloader

C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>adb devices
List of devices attached

C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>

Ok, that command came out like this:

Code:
C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>adb reboot-bootloader

C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>adb devices
List of devices attached

C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot -i 0x1949 devices
24F6000600000001 fastboot

C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>

That's what you should get

Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

pardon my stupidity but I thought that in order to upgrade from TWRP 2.7.0.0 to 2.7.1.0 I would need to run this command:

Code:
fastboot flash boot "C:\boot.img"

boot.img is the file that I extracted from this ROM.
After doing that my TWRP would go to version 2.7.1.0 and I would reboot the Kindle and Flash the ROM.

Could you correct me please?

No make sure you read that post, the correct commands and what you need to do are there. Just replace twrp 2.6.3.0 with the current version. I am unsure if you need to flash boot.img again

OK, will do that, but I need to find the correct TWRP zip file, do you think that this one bellow will work with the Kindle Fire 2?

Make sure your file is in your working directory on your computer which appears to be your platform tools folder

Is that command enough since I'm on 4.4.3 and had a previous version of TWRP already installed?

I haven't restarted it afraid of having bricked it, here's the output:

Code:
C:\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot -i 0x1949 flash recovery otter2-twrp-2
.7.1.0-recovery.img
target reported max download size of 486539264 bytes
sending 'recovery' (8157 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.458s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 1.522s]
finished. total time: 1.982s

For future reference use Flashify from the PlayStore to flash future TWRP upgrades. No muss no fuss way of flashing boot images :good:

I suppose you already have an older version TWRP installed, is that correct?
If that's the case I can upload video later on to guide you through.

Is this build mostly up to date still?

Sorry for the long delay on the response...I would have to say no. I haven't had a successful build in some time (nor any time to compile and fix either) work has finally calmed down, 50+ hour work weeks of late night shift can take a toll on a person. I will try and get things updated and see if I can get a build out in the next few days.

    Will this be updated?

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Yeah...I've been lazy this week.

Just synced...and I'll start the build shortly.

    **UPDATE
New build is up, just a source sync

Weekly build updated. The proper SlimKat version (was showing 1.96).

Will get an update Antutu benchmark screen shot up scores went up slightly :)
Boot animation still offset at start hmmm....
