GingerLOL feels more laggy than stock official untouched ROM with froncokernel. Also got less points in benchmark test.
CriccoROM runs smooth but I have battery drain in iddle, 1-2% battery/hour from the usual 0.4-0.6% battery/hour.
You can use Francos Kernel with GingerLOL. Also my Experience is, that v4 Kernel from GingerLOL is worse then v3. I'm going back, or trying Franco this afternoon. Also I experience no battery drain, battery life is equal to stock Froyo for me.

I've flashed this custom ROM called Gingerbread_2.3.3_v2- or something...
it's supposed to just have root and oc availability due to using francokernel...

BUT, I've having some troubles... before this, I was using stock Froyo with some kernel for oc...

So, for me now, its hard to see that some apps makes FC for no reason o__o
and screen glitches o__o
That sucks...

I would recommend you to flash the official rom and wait until root via some app, like in Froyo. And oc is not necessary, the phone works better than Froyo itself.

(ps. I don't play games or demanding stuff, I dont give a duck the benchmarks and crap)

Well I went and switched to GingerLOL using Franco's latest kernel, and for the most part it's ok... wifi keeps turning off for no reason (although I can always manually turn it back on again) and it's not QUITE perfectly stable, but close.

One thing I just noticed though, is that the app that handled hands-free voice dialing for my bluetooth earpiece is gone. Pressing the button on my earpiece just makes it beep when before I would get "say a command". Anyone know the name of that app that came built-in? Is it something you can download or was it integrated into the stock rom?

GingerCricco and Franco GB kernel - very stable, good battery on heavy use (3G data always on etc). Tested for a week now. Give it a try. :)

do you want actual gingerbread or like... mik's cm7 gingerbread?
mik's is 1000x better than any actual gingerbread Rom, here's the link to that one,
    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=946354

but if you really want a REAL gingerbread Rom than i think GingerLOL is a decent one...

I'm running mik's cm7 6.5.5 as you can see in my signature, and it's 1000x more stable and more efficient than any stock LG Rom, even the... modded ones.

SO far I tested GingerLOL and now I am testing CriccoROM 1.1
