One thing I had to do to get things going is to put the folder on the Desktop, rather than in the Downloads folder.
I was having ODIN crash on me when attempting to update. And not just crash the program, but the whole PC.
Did you try "ClockworkMod_Recovery_v5.5.0.4_P75xx.tar" from the first post?
I also own GT-P7500 and only the above custom recovery doesn't cause rolling screen problem for me. Any other custom recoveries I tried do.
I also want to know what causes this problem. Apparently there is something in all those custom recoveries that causes it, except in the above one, but what?
Had success, with 5.5.0.4 with the European stock no recovery rolling or ROM boot rolling. Flashed Cyanogen 9.0, Kernel 2.6.36.4, no probs in recovery but the flickering screen appears on boot up but will go away & the ROM runs (as you would expect L a d from cm) if you press the lock screen.
Also noted that a soft re-boot no flickering takes place.
Would using the info at this : - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1484304 & make a recovery from the ROM you wish to flash be possible?
not a noob but not an expert so I'll ask
Hi !
Yes, i have tried and it didn't work for me.
What base fw and sw version do you have ??
Mine is :
model : GT-P7500 ( Honeycomb 3.2 )
base version P7500BUKK4
software version: HTJ85B P7500BUKL1
Cheers !
None of the above fixes the scrolling screen issues.
We need a dev to do a new root that fixes the scrolling screen issue in recovery.
GT-P7510 3.2 see attached
thanks for that bugs9477 working in 7500 tab!I followed the guide and it worked out installing the original stock rom for the gt-p7510 and CWD 5.5.0.4
That ROM though has no 3G support, only wifi.
I installed the official stock rom with 3G support with the above mentioned CWM version but the monitor keeps flickering. I also tried other CWM versions but still the same problem.
Flashing the original firmware (vodafone Italy http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=3&o=1&m=GT-P7500&r=1) that overwrites the CWM with the original Samsung recovery will solve the problem but you dont get all the goodies CWM comes with.
Hope someone will find a workaround for that, ICS is way better than Honeycomb.
