I think he gave up .. :p

Or he got busy? He's also trying to get stuff sorted with his app...

Oh and some people seem to forget that these devs do this in their spare time, for free. If something else takes their fancy or you know, life steps in and is all "no time for play time anymore" then sometimes you gotta listen to what life has to say...

But I need sleep, final final tomorrow :D

Then drinking tequila on the beach after.

Lmao. You act like I'm being rude. But he hasn't updated this in over a month. I wasn't being rude. I was just saying he gave up on his kernel to work on his app or do personal ****. Chill out man. God.

So this kernel basically done? As in is it that he's not working on it or it can't get any better?

It's up to Eugene. He's been busy with other things right now. So weather it gets an update is up to him. I personally would love to see this get updated, I got a 3900 benchmark running ics And this kernel. Plus great battery life! Definitely was an amazing kernel!

Oh I see, yeah it was a nice kernel when I ran it on AOKP. I tried to flash it on the Jedi rom but the darkside logo came up and it never made it passed the Samsung screen. I had to reflashed the rom. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply.

Eugene, your kernels have the best performance, stability, and reliability, what will it take for you to come come back with some more stable kernels? I'm using Jedi mind tricks v6 and am having problems with faux 008 kernel, it just currently doesn't manage my phone well. I'm looking for a old school Eugene Macnut kernel and or ROM, is there something else I can do right now beside just talk about it like buy you a drink?

He did mention that he is immersed in a application project which is what is probably keeping him so busy right now. He is M.I.A. everywhere on xda right now, I know when he gas time he'll be back and tdj venom twiz kernel is way better than faux when it comes to compatibility, although they are both compatible, I'm getting less freezing and my home screen is now responding during crunch times. The interactive governor is way better than ondemand no matter what is being said, I'm getting smooth app switching and menu switching compared to the cheap ondemand.

Thought this was for 4.0.3 plus if I remember right it was still a wip. No one has a kernel for 4.0.4 yet as far as I know . I know he said he has been real busy and hasn't worked on these in months . Really shocked that your camera is the only issue . That's the reason cause its for a different build .

I wonder if the camera problem could be circumvented with the usage of a 3rd party camera? The Motorola Max Razr's camera was released as an .apk in the app section. It works perfectly fine, however selecting panarama mode will force close it.

ok thanks a lot. I haven't tried a third party cam but I'll just wait until an official kernel comes out. I had some headaches trying to get back to stock.

We don't have jb source yet so I don't think many devs are doing kernel work. Sux cause we could really use some decent kernel devs right about now.

Anybody know the right way to calibrate battery?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using XDA

    1. Fully charge your phone while on.
    2. Turn off your phone and wait for it to charge to 100
3a. Unplug your phone and boot into recovery
    3b. Flash rom/kernel and/or clear battery stats.
3c. Power Off from recovery & Connect charger.
    4. Reboot your phone into the Android OS & Unplug charger once it stops charging.
    5. Use your phone normally
    6. Let your phone discharge to 0 then charge while off

This will allow you to use all the potential of the battery while conditioning it along with getting the performance the kernel intends.
