I experienced over heating issue when flashing. Be it the rom or kernel. But I just let it run for awhile after that no more issue!

The auto brightness levels are very dark in v8. Is there a chance to change them?

change them in settings >>> display >> Brightness and first uncheck the automatic brightness and then change the values to your taste and then recheck automatic brightness thats it

I hope it got noted... ^^ Very important issue to me and maybe others

And the overheat thing only happens to me after wiping dalvik cache.. After a time, when its maybe recreated, everything is perfect

It is a tweak that allow your phone to automatically switch to 2G during WiFi or when the screen is off, leading to major battery savings
When wifi is turned off 3G is automatically re-enabled
The Toggle2G app only appear after a wipe after V7Beta (it is also on V8 I guess) and you have then to get the rom started skip google account and enable wifi for the app to get proper authorizations, then you can go on and titanium restore data only

If this helps you push "thanks"

yep, +1 here too. I set ScreenFilter to about 50% when in full darkness.
I actually considered asking to make the lowest brightness even lower so that i don't burn my retina when staring at the phone in the dark
