I am unsure of where it came from to credit properly the one who brought this OnePlus One feature to us, if someone knows please do share so I can edit the thread. Found it on brazilian androidpit and works flawlessly on mine (running AOSPA 4.4 RC1), I don't believe it works on stock roms though.

Simply install it as a normal apk and go into developers section and tick the recently created quickboot option and give it a try. I would recommend a nandroid backup in case it messes up something. You may aswell push the apk to /system/app or /system/priv-app, set permissions and reboot. If all else fails, there is a flasheable zip below aswell.

Download flasheable zip: http://d-h.st/NrU.

Video preview of the boot comparison of the OPO and a Nexus 5, will record my own device doing it asap:

I updated the OP with a video preview but not of my phone, will try and capture the footage with a proper camera later on. It works just like shown above.

Nice! Would be great if devs ported this one into their builds aswell, hope any of them implement on the upcoming versions.

Please, give the exact version, I want to revert to that version just because of quickboot.
It was a nightly from a few weeks ago but I just updated to the 19.06.14 nightly and reflashed the quickboot zip and it worked perfectly again.

Working fine on temasek v101 but I thought it would really reboot my phone, however it only works as a hibernation feature.

Can anyone explain how this is helpful in practical situation? Is it for like if we want to change sim or something and we switch our phones off?

Thanks though for the file. I really love the speed it boots my phone, I would have loved more if it really rebooted my phone coz right now I am playing with some xposed modules and I have to reboot my phone a lot these days.

I believe that's the intention of the quickboot, a hibernation mode instead of a full reboot. For your needs you might aswell soft reboot through xposed, it is quite faster then the standard one.

It also charges while on hibernation but doesn't display any statistics on how it is going, is quite handy in case you're in need to save that amount of battery you require (although the G doesn't suffer that much from this). And of course, it is lots of fun to show off your boot speed to friends.

this works on all PA builds but doesn't work on cm based ROMs. why so?
may you be able to fix it?

I wasn't the one who ported nor the developer behind the curtains, I simply found it on a brazilian forum I use to read. I might ask there but no guarantees.

Also it works fine on N5X rom, crDroid used to work properly aswell.
