Replace the apk attached here with the one in /data/sys-parts/app/, keep permissions as rw-r-r and Reboot.
I tried to add External sd card to the storage tab. But ended in force close. Seems it's need something more to detect the external sd card.
I all,
I'm on CM9(Galaxy SII), I have downloaded the apk 3 times,moved it to /system/apps/ then changed the permission to match the instructions provided. Then reboot the phone.
After rebook, using Root Explorer go to /system/app and tap on the TaskManager.apk and select "Install", I follow the on screen instructions and it starts installing. Almost instantly after starting the install it stops and says that the app can't be installed.
Any suggest to have it installed properly?

After changing permissions and rebooting, the app is automatically installed. It will be shown in the app drawer.

I have been hoping some one would port the touchwiz camera to cm9 (Epic 4G) i would think most of the SGS 1 camera apks will work on the other SGSs Hear is a modded camera with the sound removed (you can still turn in on if you want) http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1374154 i would think that would be a good one to start with so you want have to redo was has already been done.
But any how do you think you could look into porting the camera?

The text is black by default. On opening the menu it becomes white. Not a big deal. Can be easily fixed.
Hey can you get hold of the ICS Touchwiz Camera.apk, framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk?... S2 recommended... :fingers-crossed:
I will hunt them down, from a SGS S II. my phone the SPH-D700 Epic 4G never got ICS from samsung/sprint. But I'm sure you knew that.

112Everybody knows the CM9/10 ROMs are smooth and Awesome. But what they lack is a TaskManager. This need was fulfilled by the RemICS ROMs which got TouchWiz TaskManager to CM9 and now CM10. But only thing I hated was that the TaskManager force closed when the options key was pressed. After few months I thought that must have been rectified, but I tried the TaskManager from RemICS 1.6, the problem was still there. (Nothing against the RemICS team, the ROM is AWESOME)
So I took it in my own hands to fix the problem... And I DID...!!!

I've attached the TaskManager.apk. All you have to do is place it in /system/app/ with permissions rw-r-r and reboot.
Note: I've tried many times to install it as normal app but it never works.

EDIT: User txtmikhail tested the app on CM7 and it works. :laugh:

Now you can just flash the zip from the recovery. Since it's a universal flasher, a backup flashable zip will be automatically created to revert back if needed.

Hey ammar u are really doing great work I think u should work with dhiru so that u can work on cm9 & cm10 roms corrections.

I made a simple flashable zip for the task manager.
This task manager works on CM11.
Download the attached file and flash through CWM Recovery.
I'm only sharing this flashable zip I made for myself because the flashable zip from @AMMAR768 didn't work on my philz_touch recovery.
All the credit goes to the people who developed and ported it and shared it here on the first place.
Tested devices:
Galaxy SL i9003 running CM11
Galaxy S3 LTE SHV-E210K running CM11
Epic 4G running CM11 Nightly (thanks to @EpicMikeNC)

No... For our device the system apps were there. For you it should be /system/apps/
