Apparently I'm having a brain-fart, but I cannot get CWM installed.
I've Odined both 3.1.0.1 and 5.0.2.7 recovery's and I still end up with stock recovery.
So either this is just to restore to stock for service. Or i truely am brain-dead right now. :confused:

The stock kernel launches a script at boot the puts that stock recovery back. You will need to install a rooted kernel that doesn't launch this script.

Hi Toad. I'm getting a forbidden error when I try to download the Odin files. Not sure if it's a server problem or not and if so, sorry

Isn't that just a massive placebo effect? The wimax modem has been sitting on DH24 for 17 months now without being changed. The 3G/WiFi modem certainly gets updated in these updates but the 4G hasn't been touched in literally ages now.

Used this to recover from MTD/Yaffs2. No matter what rom I was on, I was getting com.samsung.internal crashes (along with other processes). The Odin package saved me and runs very smooth. Thank you. :)

If I wanted to clean my epic up, and by cleaning it up I mean odining back to a stock ROM, will odining this el30 package provide the same cleanup as odining ec05 would?

  • Contains system,kernel,recovery,data,cache,param
  • Can be used to come back from MTD (load included *.pit file and check "Repartition")
  • Does *NOT* contain a modem (there is no flashable EL30 modem.bin)


Notes​
  • A great overview of how to use ODIN can be found here.
  • If flashing fails:
    1. unplug cable
    2. pull battery
    3. re-enter download mode
    4. plug cable back in/try a different cable/try and different usb port
    5. try rebooting before repeating step 1-4 if flashing repeatedly fails

Thanx for the downloads, but I keep getting this weird error message when I goto download the odin package......

It isn't specifically mentioned, but I believe it is inferred.... when I flash this using ODIN, I will lose root, correct? I hope so. I need to bring the EPIC in to get repaired at Sprint and I don't want any issues.

Yes this will flash the whole stock expierence justnot the modem :)

Used this not too long ago to try and rid my phantom vm on cm9 it worked but like an idiot I advanced restored data and it was back just saying this is solid if you need to go back and reroot same method as ei22 ;)
