I see devices requesting forums and get ignored because there are threads for their device that are scattered everywhere so the powers that be here have the mindset of "your device has information available, that's good enough". To be honest, NO, it isn't because there is no organization to it.
To say that that's the mindset of the powers that be is simply wrong.
Just because a device is heavily requested in this thread doesn't mean that it should get its own forum. There are numerous factors which the admins will work through to decide whether a device should get its own forum here on XDA. Some of those are fairly easy to figure out - popularity, dev support, forum traffic. Other factors will be such which only those in charge if the decision will know. If, after working through these different factors, it doesn't make sense to create a forum then it won't happen. It's as simple as that.
I'd presume that forum traffic is likely a large factor in the decision making process. We already see a fair few devices from big manufacturers which get forum space which is then underused big time. Adding a lot more forums from the requests would only increase that.

These threads for similar devices that are posted in other device forums just make a mess. XDA doesn't want members and users making repeated posts so that there isn't any junk to pick through but at the same time the couldn't care less about the clutter of random threads scattered in the forums for other devices. That makes absolutely no sense. Where is the logic in that?

I'd hate to think that XDA just doesn't care, we are all supposed to be here to share information, there is so much information here that in many ways the system is broken, continuing to ignore this fact is unprofessional and implies that XDA just doesn't care, there are a lot of members that give everything they they can to XDA, I think the community deserves more from XDA as a whole(including the upper echelon) than just having the opportunity to find and share information. XDA should by all rights be willing to make everyone's journey here easier. I know it takes a lot of work to organize things but with the amount information that is randomly scattered it needs to happen regardless, failing yo do so will only result in it getting worse, ignored long enough and it will be too big to handle by the time XDA decides its a problem, it will be too late by then and way too much to do to geI'dt straight. Its best to do it now before it becomes a real problem, too be sure it WILL be a problem if its continued to be ignored.

Are some of these forums a mess? Yes, of course - especially those which encompass all devices which don't have their own forums here.

There's a couple of things to note though. At one point, they were much worse than they currently are. A lot of work has already been put into place and continues to be. There's a lot of work behind the scenes to make XDA as usable and user-friendly as possible. That work is always an ongoing process.

Also, sorting out such a mess takes a lot of work. It's also not a quick fix. Another thing to make note of is that there's a lot of things on the list of priorities. A lot of these things are major and require more work and manhours to sort out and put into place.

Maybe instead of making such posts, it could be a good idea to perhaps try and help to sort out the issues with the mess. If you have any solid suggestions which could work and help staff to sort it out, I'm sure they wouldn't mind an inbox from you. Bare in mind that an idea which you think is solid may simply not be feasible on such a large scale though.

Please Add Lenovo A6000/A6000 plus
This device reached 1 year but still no support from xda .

this device had custom roms kernels, etc.this device recently got source build of cm 13 by a great developer flourmo,cm12 by a talented person ED300

A great devloper Chhapil did a really outstanding work by making a awaited custom kernel for this device he has compiled from official
lenovo kk source which is complete now.
Lenovo A6000 got another reason for a separate forum i.e.A complete kernel source code released by lenovo.
Lastly I request you to create a separate forum for A6000 on XDA

Could you please make a topic for the Prestigio Multipad series, because it involves many different Prestigio tablets and a lot of users of these devices would like to have a place to found more about their device (root, problems, roms). I could run this topic, because as a user of one of the devices I'm highly interested to develop a Prestigio community. :)

    Hello @Oswald Boelcke

Redmi K60 Ultra needs a dedicated forum because the phone bootloader can be unlocked and the device has TWRP, and a large number of users have already purchased the device. Here is the TWRP device tree and pictures:

Thank you for your time and consideration
    Hello and good morning, @Google2021

I really appreciate the trust and confidence into my capabilities that your message shows, but I as a moderator have no powers at all to create device fora.
However, it might be useful if you here share links to Redmi K60 Ultra related threads that already exist on XDA; especially links to development threads like ROM's, kernel, recoveries would be very helpful.

    Regards

@mvikrant97 Sorry, I've to apologise. Creation of device fora is completely out of hands of a moderator. I've no insight into the decisions or processes. As you've mentioned you've contacted our forum administrators and please don't forget they are very busy and one is absent due to real life. I can only request your patience.

There's a forum for development if a device doesn't have a dedicated thread yet:
Or also one for guides and tutorials:
So, you might want to consider to encourage the developers you know to post their work there.

Our forum administrator addressed his stance just about 6 weeks ago in this thread:
I don't understand it either. I mean, with all due respect, development is in progress for the device (I'm involved in it too; I'll launch a new Los build in the next few days). XDA is a great place for discussion and to show such progress (and also to incentivate it). We have other threads opened recently for devices which don't have any development at all (for instance, the X6 Pro, x6 neo, etc).

In any case, I will add posts in the indicated sections about the development I am undertaking if necessary.

    Thanks and best

Please post all your requests here.

The forum admins choose new device forums carefully, based on several factors. There's no guarantee your device will have a forum created here, but feel free to posts your requests in this thread :)

Please do not send me a PM asking for a forum to be added.

Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units

There are multiple devices in this category that seem to be served by a couple of monolithic threads that currently try to cover all the topics related to them. The two main categories of device seem to be HuiFei devices serviced by this thread (currently 9118 posts) and the AN-21 U devices by this thread (currently 6484 posts). Both devices ideally would have their own sub-forum as they are quite distinct development wise however a "Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units" forum would be a substantial improvement. Thanks.

Please consider creating a forum specific for the SD 778 based galaxy a52s 5g. I'm sure samsung will sell a lot of these so a dedicated forum would help to avoid confusion with the regular SD 750 based galaxy A52 5g...

Hey there, recently All of the LG Optimus L line phones, have had their Locked bootloaders hacked and now have fully functional ROOT, ClockworkMod and soon to begin cooking ROMS, thats why we need a device forums not 300 pages threads (u basicaly cant find the stuff that was posted 1week ago anymore, its a big mess there) in L7/L5 or L3 threads, ( L3 have official Cyanogen Support and soon others will have it too ) So Please Please create device forums for us... You can create them into one single big group, believe me these devices are quite popular

Device list that missing the forums:

    LG Optimus L3 E400
    LG Optimus L5 E610
    LG Optimus L7 P700/P705

Device list that already have a forum:
LG Optimus L9 (ALREADY HAVE A FORUM)
