What's funny is that while I read and re-read the forums anticipating the release and even while I sped off to the store and back with my precious little DNA in my hands, I knew in the back of my head that HTC/Verizon was going to lock it down upon release the question isn't "why would they?" The question is "why would I think they wouldn't?" Duh...
I still have your program on the pc, I like it, its excellent work. I appreciate your efforts to simplifly the process, I'm a machinist I couldn't have done it. Ill help tho, just name it.

We're sorry, but it appears your attempt to unlock the bootloader on this device has failed. This could be caused by several factors including simple errors in the entry of the unlock token, problems with your device, or a lack of manufacturer support for the unlocking process. Please see the specific error code listed below, and try again if necessary.
Error Code: 160.
Error Reason: MID Not Allowed.

wonder if when you get temp root if you can alter the CID simliar to the other 8960 chipped devices (one s and xl) although this is the quadcore variant of that chipset and may have had the exploit closed

Jcase is posting on Twitter that changing the Cid does work. He also has another vuln related to the s4 chipset. Unlock is done, he will release in several days

MID = Model ID = Your phone.

Verizon locked out your bootloader >.<

Now I take offense to that and your facts aren't correct. S-off users don't need this.

If you'd "love" to see real root, why don't you figure it out yourself? We do what we can to help. Hell, I don't even own the phone and I still try to help. Have you contributed? You have 4 thanks. I have over 2,800. I think we all know who contributed here more.

Hasoon keep doing what you do which is a tremendous benefit and appreciated by the vast majority :)

So will this only "take off" if a different unlock method is achieved (or if HTCDev goes "official" with their method), correct? (S-off milestone bears no effect)

Pretty much. Yeah. But it also does things necessary after the bootloader is unlocked. (Recovery, root, basic adb commands)

Did any one brick their device using this??
I really want to root , just want to make sure it won't make t a paper weight.

Also i watched the video, and do i do exactly how the video instructs for DNA too ?

no because it is not functioning at this time, and when / if htcdev lets us unlock it, this tool looks safe

Hello, I do not have this phone so I haven't been following the threads to closely

A coworker is looking to get this phone today and need to have wireless tethering working like he does on his thunderbolt

I am assuming your toolkit would be all that is needed for him since all we need is root for the wifitether app right?

Thanks

I would like to add for those that like my toolkit, PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!

I have seen multiple sites who copy and paste my work to their site! If I do not approve of it, then do not do it! it will discourage me from adding updates since it is being used for their own benefits!

    tl;dr.

If you post my work without permission, don't expect updates!

I created an easy to use GUI program for the HTC Amaze and I decided to make one for the HTC Droid DNA. I spent a good over 10+ hours to learn how to script, watch videos on how to do it, working on it during school when I should have been listening lol and all that fun stuff. I am going to fix it and up and add more updates to it. You CAN place requests and I will try to fulfill it!

If this helped you out, Please press the thanks button and if you want, you can always donate!

    FEATURES

Verizon locked out your bootloader >.<

This thread, as well as a few others claiming to be "All-In-One Toolkits" etc. should be moderated. Unfortunately this is a guide for early model phones with S-Off and those able to have unlocked with HTCDev.

As much as everybody else here, I'd love to see a real root for the actual "consumer" phone for Verizon. Fair?

    Bugs
    - Directory has to have one word.
    Ex:

Will Work. This will solve any issues if the buttons don't work when you press them.

    C:\Users\John\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

    C:\Users\John_Smith\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

Will NOT work. Your directory will look something like this and buttons won't work when you press it.

    C:\Users\John Smith\Dropbox\Phones\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

If you have 2 words, put the folder in Drive C:

Ex. This will solve any issues if the buttons don't work when you press them.

    C:\Amaze_All-In-One_Kit_V2.4

Looking to add in the future
    - Kernels
    - More recoveries
    - Makes Requests!!!

    FAQs

Q - Why Did you make this?
A - To make life easier

Q - You are limited on features. Why?
A- You can always make a request!

Q - Will this work on other devices?
A - Only the fastboot commands, HTC Dev unlock (device specific) and the HTC drivers. Toolkit is made for the specific device.

Q - Will you support more devices in the future?
A - If people REALLY want, I can make it happen. I just don't want to make anything that nobody would use.

    Q - Awesome! Can I make a donation?
A - Of course! Do not feel obligated though. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the button on my toolkit or under my username.
