Softkeys Fade Mod
Fades the softkeys to black after not touching it for some time
(for Xposed Framework)

Note: This doesn't hide the navigation bar at all. This only hides the softkeys/buttons.

What is SoftkeysFadeMod?
SoftkeysFadeMod is a unique found only in Cataclysm ROM by atl4ntis
It was originally posted here as a teaser.
This is slightly different from the one in Cataclysm ROM since it's code is not open sourced.

Why use SoftkeysFadeMod?
As said by the original creator himself here, it is to prevent AMOLED screen burn in's and give your phone a nice minimalist look.

Video?

Great mod, but it's not working perfectly on Nexus 5, Kitkat 4.4.2.
You can download video here. Take a look at the softkeys.

Still, great idea, thanks, for creating this mod! :)

Works great on stock LG G2. I did find a bug though. The soft keys stay on the screen if I pull down the notification panel. Interestingly, it's only the two middle soft key buttons.

in addition, I would like it if I can input the time for fade and fade time myself instead of having to scroll through all the numbers 1 by 1.

Just tap on the number, it will open the keyboard.

Request: ability to fade out the GravityBox application launcher softkey.

Input: Great module, using it on both my devices now!

Amazing module. One request, tho. Could you add the values from 0-499 in fade delay. I would like to set mine to 0.

double tap on the number in ICS or single tap in JB and above to get a keyboard.

Would this work on Nexus 7 2013?

yes.

Great job. But also some problems on n5 4.4.2 with doubled icons and unable to tap Home sometimes.

try it on v1.1 and tell me if it still happens

doesnt work on Panaranoid Android .....the buttons disappear but not the bar itself
as seen in the video in the OP, the BAR does not disappear. the BUTTONS disappear. The XDA portal mixed it up. Sorry for the confusion

In Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on Galaxy Note 10.1 it only hides the four buttons (back, home, apps, recent) but does not hid the black bar itself.

Guys I wrote to zst123 and this is what he answered to me:

"Unfortunately, the module works very well on ICS. I have tried the module on JB but my phone doesn't support Google Now, so it has been removed and I cannot see the nav bar circle bug when fading the soft keys.

Sending APKs to people asking them to test would take ages. I will of course try to fix it once I physically get hold of a phone with proper JB or KK. I haven't officially abandoned the project yet. ;) "

So we still can hope about the home button fix, even if he owns the limits he wrote to fix it.
