How to get back to Recovery

Hi,

Great rom and thanks for your hard work.

One quick question, how do you get back to recovery? IN JB you pushed power + vol down and then Hold then press power button three times.

KK seems to be different. Your help will be much appreciated.

Kitkat doesn't support any custom recovery as standard at the moment. Flashing this update zip will cause it to revert to stock recovery. Only way to have Kitkat and custom recovery is to follow my link and guide.

Now you will have to downgrade to Jellybean if you want a custom recovery again then follow my steps though.

I can't download the rom from the link, is problem with the upload or something, "to many wiews..."

This may be a silly question, but if I don't flash supersu for root at the last step, will my ROM work as un-rooted?

Clarification: I don't want to root this phone until I can get Barclays app working on my other phone, which is rooted.

Is this rom in some important aspect different from stock kk? What's different, if any?
Can't download, to many dowloads.

It is stock. Pure stock.

I've been uploading to a mirror for hours. Someone else could have done it too... enough members have downloaded it.

    Made this from the new 80220B Open EUR XX kdz. This is the 16GB/32GB version. Works well, no Bloat, no carrier logos or splashscreens. I'm on SIM Free UK version, for interest. But this will work on any European d802. 4G is fine.

    This is the complete LG KK 20B ROM - nothing missing or messed with.

    If you follow the method below exactly, no Audio glitches, no Touchscreen problems.

    You can flash SuperSU and get root if you wish - your choice.

    I provide this assuming you have an understanding of the terminology used below and appreciate that any flashing activity has some risk.

    I strongly advise against using any form of restore from previous backups, such as TB or Nandroid.


    Once the process is complete, custom recovery will be lost.


    Method:

    Download both the ROM zip file linked below and SuperSU zip file (if you want root) and copy to your SD card.

    You need to be already on Rooted JB or PURE CM11 with either TWRP 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4 (nothing else).

    Reboot to TWRP recovery

    Wipe: System, Data, Cache. Dalvik (nothing else)

    Flash the ROM zip - ignore any "FAIL" warnings.

    Wipe Cache and Dalvik (nothing else)

    Go to the Mount page in TWRP and select System (leave the other defaults alone)

    Flash the SuperSU zip - ignore any "FAIL" warnings

    Reboot

    Done
