I am 5 minutes away from being able to start testing the install process.

Damn download is taking forever...

I will be able to let you know what I get when I get it started...

I just flashed back to stack with no root to get the process started. Hopefully it will all go well...

I will check back in a few...

Step 4, and Get "SECURE CHECK FAIL" in red on the phone.

My original root/cwm install was done through QCom Toolkit

Edit: Guess I should also mention I'm attempting to flash the Telius image from the first post

Also, this isn't working for me. I'm on stock Rogers and I got an MD5 checksum error (assert failed, Status 7) when trying to apply the firmware in CWM.

Mobile Odin Pro seems to work around this by allowing you to ignore the MD5 mismatches.

Backing up now and about to apply...

Ive decided to post a new thread as members wanted a Step by Step to get Jellybean's latest leak working on their 747M devices. So here goes.

This is meant to be flashed over a Samsung based rom (NOT AOSP or CM10). I can't confirm whether it will work on other rooms. Please revert to a touchwiz rom before you attempt this. Also, dont forget, this is a leaked rom, so there might be bugs. I will try to compile them at the beginning of this thread for all of us to see. I have now been using this ROM for 3 days without any MAJOR issues. Small bugs do exist here and there.

Step by Step Guide: This has been confirmed to be working for ATT variants as well, but the standard disclaimer applies and any flashing or mods done to your phone are your responsibility. This guide would not be possible without the repacked OTA package from Radeon_X. Thanks a lot to him for this.

    1. Download the LALH1 firmware for Bell/telus

    Telus

    Bell

    2. Download Odin 3.07 here: http://d-h.st/hSj. Kick your phone into download mode (turn off --> volume down, home and power). Connect to USB and then start ODIN.

    3. Leave all the checks as is. Click on PDA, unzip the Firmware file you downloaded above and choose the md5 file.

    4. Click Start and let the phone complete the process.

    5. Once the phone reboots, put it in download mode once again, and flash Clockwork Mod Recovery found here: http://xdaforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1303041&d=1346812021

    6. Boot up the phone once that is done, and transfer the OTA compiled by Radeon_X (which now also includes Root) to your phone, boot into recovery and install the ota and voila, you have Jellybean: https://hotfile.com/dl/170842913/3b61dbd/d2can_JB_OTA_keeproot.zip.html

    7. ATT users can flash a native modem, however, some users have reported to use LH1 without problems. Look in this thread: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1831898

    Noticeable Changes:

    * yes, it is a little laggy, but the touchwiz launcher is SOOOO zippy. It Flies
    * everything so far seems to be fine, no error messages
    * lock screen allows 5 shortcuts
    * wifi tether works
    * root works using the package here: http://download.chainfire.eu/212/Sup...etrieve_file=1
    * the lock screen has a grey hue to it, can someone else please confirm this for me?
    * long pressing the power button brings up a new menu, see attached screenshots
    * the status bar is not edge to edge, it is centered and the last few pixels on the left AND the right, and not used. --- not sure what this is
    * dormant mode is relabelled to be "Blocking Mode"
    * settings>wireless> has a better looking setup
    * pressing and holding icons in touchwiz now gives the menu to delete/app info at the top instead of the bottom
    * the notification bar has minute little detailed changes, ie. the clear button is smaller etc.
    * a lot more widgets - sizes and new widgets both
    * MOST IMPORTANT - YES GOOGLE NOW WORKS PERFECTLY SO FAR
    * New multitasking menu

    *BUGS*

*the screenshot "SHARE" button is initially blocked and you must scroll up with two fingers and expand it again to show it sometimes
*music player crashes when you hit the shuffle button at the top of the list
*playing audio through bluetooth seems to be wonky and doesnt work very frequently.
    *grey status bar
    *uncentered status bar icons

    Thanks to:

Radeon_X for recompiling the OTA and providing root access as well.

25 Steps to Jelly Bean for AT&T Users

So after spending some time working on this I finally got it to work.

Putting together a lot of info from several users here this is what I did to get it working on AT&T...

I don't know who all of you are but thank you to everyone who had all the little bits and pieces to get this to work...

Please read through the entire directions and download all files in the beginning to save time later...

    1. Root with the no flash counter root method found HERE...

    2. Downlaod and install Mobile ODIN Pro HERE...

    3. Download Telus I747MVLALH1 HERE...

    4. Put the Telus Firmware on you Phone, either on internal SD or External...

    5. Open Mobile ODIN Pro and give it SuperUser permission...

    6. Go to "Open file" and find the location you installed the Telus Firmware...

    7. Select the next four check boxes,

    Enable EverRoot
    Inject Superuser
    Inject Mobile Odin
    Wipe Dalvik Cache

    8. Select Flash Firmware, Make sure you flash everything including the modem. (you will flash the right modem back later)

    9. Hit continue until you get a message that asks you to check MD5 sums. Do not do the check cause it will not allow you to flash. Continue...

    10. Rom will now flash and as long as you did not wipe the device you will still have everything installed from before. (you will not have data unless you are connected to WIFI) (Remember this Firmware has the wrong modem installed)

    11. Shut off the device and put it in to Download Mode, (Volume Down, Power and Home at the same time until you see the Download screen and then press the Volume up button)

    12. On Desktop ODIN flash the CWM Recovery found HERE...

    13. Reboot Device

    14. Download the Jelly Bean file found HERE and insert it on either your internal or external SD Card...

    15. Open Mobile ODIN Pro and select OTA / Update Zip and find the location you loaded the OTA Firmware...

    16. ODIN will do a check and come back with an error telling you that 7 files do not match... Ignore this error and tell it to skip the check...

    17. You will now reboot with Jelly Bean installed but still no Data...

    18. Repeat the steps 11, 12 , and 13, (I think the update to jelly bean might include a new recovery and just to be sure, install CWM one more time just to make sure)...

    19. Download the modem that works best for you from HERE...

    20. Power off the device and put it in recovery mode...(Volume UP, Power and Home Button until you see the screen flash and let go)...

    21. Go to advanced and wipe Dalvik Cache...

    22. Go back and install from SD card the Modem you Downloaded...

    23. Reboot, and you now should have Data again...

    24. Check your APN settings, settings/ more settings/ Mobile networks/ Access Point Names/ AT&T PTA/

    For 4G LTE PTA/HSPA+:
    Name: AT&T PTA
    APN: pta
    MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
    MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
    MMS port: 80
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 410
    Auth: none
    APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri

    25. Reboot your Device and enjoy...

These are the steps I took to get Jelly Bean on my AT&T Galaxy S3 and it is running great...

Please if I have forgot something or miss typed something let me know...

OP Please put this on the OP if you fell it will help your users...

    Thanks

    Ok...I'll try and re-clarify.

I have a US phone on ATT. This seems like it's just for Canada phone users so I'm wondering if this is now ok for US phones.

    I'm running I747UCLEM

Yes it will work. I have been running it on a us att i-747 since yesterday.

    blue flash fix..

Here is what I did to get it to work... It took me a few tries and testing different methods:

    1. I installed Odin 3.07 on my PC: http://d-h.st/hSj

    2. Flashed Telus stock with root (they got a bunch of carriers) via Odin/download mode: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1739426

    3. I also flashed for good measure CWM via Odin/download mode: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1874982

    4. I then copied the JB_OTA zip to my SD: https://hotfile.com/dl/170842913/3b61dbd/d2can_JB_OTA_keeproot.zip.html

    5. I purchased mobile Odin from Google Play ($4.99)

    6. Once installed, in Odin mobile I checked off "wipe dalvik" then added JB OTA zip to be flashed. *** WARNING **** Do not select "wipe data and cache" which is like a factory reset. You will lose ALL your customizations, settings, downloaded apps, etc... if you do.

    7. I got a prompt to verify signature and selected "Disable'

    8. Voila, Jean Bean 4.1.1 with root installed on my Telus Galaxy S3

Its been up for about 3-4 hours. The only glitch I've seen soo far is that my screen flashed a blue screen for a split second. Data is working at LTE speeds. Seems stable. I'll let you know if anything weird happens.

Go into Settings > Developer Options and scroll down and check "Disable hardware overlays". This fixed blue screen flashing for me.
