Using cm11 4.4.4, no overclock, no mods. An hour or so using turn by turn navigation with GPS on and mobile data off, screen on the whole time, about 3 hours listening to music max volume through speakers, only about 30 minutes of WiFi. About 20 minutes of GTA San Andreas.

I get 5-7 hours of screen on time. Standby 4 days. I don't use my phone heavily so on average I charge every 2-3 days with 4-5 hours screen on time.

LTE on all the time, WiFi 50% of the time. Appes commonly used chrome, gmail, Facebook, SMS and phone.
Nothing crazy.

Running slimkat build 5 and kt747 kernel. 1080mhz max frequency and few other minor tweaks.

Is that with an extended battery?

You might be thinking of older batteries, but Li-ion batteries shouldn't be overdischarged or overcharged, and they keep better if you partially charge them.

Thought I'd just throw this out for others to see. Today I wanted to push my battery bc I haven't been very happy with it. So, I've been on it b.s.ing most of the day to see where I could go with screen on time. I am using wifi today since I'm home and have been busting my data plan open all week. Anyway, here's a screen shot. Will update later tonight when this thing drains.
    Edit:
I'm outta the box stock and auto brightness.

Is anyone else having the charging problem i am. Charges to 100% then drops to 99 or 98% right after unplug.

This is not a bug. This is to prevent overcharging of the battery.

Batteries held at near 100% don't last for very long. Your phone will allow your battery to charge up to near 100%, then it'll cut the charge, letting the battery decrease until it hits 90% before it starts charging again.

Now, manufacturers have the option to either show you the true percentage (90%), or they can make you feel that much more satisfied when you unplug your phone in the morning, THINKING that it's at a full 100%.

Which option do you think they chose? :p

Some people just happen to unplug their batteries when they are at 99% as opposed to 91% (even though both are probably shown as 100% immediately after unplugging)

So I have a friend who just got his S3 with ATT. He's completely stock and gets better battery life than me. Last time I checked his phone, he had 10 hours with 5 hours on-screen time. I got mine back in July. Did I just get one from a bad batch? This whole time I thought my battery life was relatively reasonable, but after seeing his phone perform so much better, I can't help but wonder...

Could it just be my battery itself and not the phone? There was a time that I went completely stock, and I still didn't get similar battery life. I even have automatic syncing off, whereas he has it on :(

Luck of the draw my friend. Every phone is different. I'd say your friend got lucky..... However, don't think he will always have it that good. Once he starts downloading apps and such.... It will take a hit. JMO.

I had pretty sad battery life, so I made some adjustments. I changed:

    1. Autobrightness to on
    2. Auto Adjust screen tone
    3. Disabled "Wake up Command" in S voice

Most of my battery drain was with the screen off and it has been about 50% better today, so the only setting that makes any sense is the Wake up Command setting. It's the only one that really could have had this much of an impact on my battery life.

Something to try, for those of you having issues.
