OK, I am on my 3rd hour of owning an X10. I come from several months on the Captivate where I produced 4 of the top ROMS. I am downloading this right now and will be flashing when it is done. I am looking forward to seeing what this phone can do and figured this would be a great place to start. BTW, I have already flashed your theme and it is outstanding!

Baseband

You must not have been on the latast baseband. Flash baseband .54 then install
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

This is weird, I used the flashtool and put the generic ROM and it shows the baseband to be .54, but when I go in to xRecovery and apply this one the baseband is gone.

BTW how do I flash the baseband?

Hmm should not be a problem here then, I would allow PC companion or something do a full repair on your phone then you can install root and xrecovery and go, that way you know its the latest [from sony] then just flash with the custom zip opyion in xrecovery, v1 had 5k d/l and this one alot today and no issues and its just the theme thats changed from v1

Do a full wipe, then wipe cache partition, then under advanced wipe dalvik cache aswell in xrecovery before flashing the zip try this

Just upgraded the baseband using this thread:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=960527

Installed a generic ROM using this
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=920746

Then with the FlasTool installed xRecovery, copied the zip I downloaded from this thread in my SD Card and followed the instructions.

Did you install the generic ROM after flashing the baseband? Which generic ROM did you install? Those ROMs all include the baseband with them, so you would have overwritten whatever baseband you flashed in the first step. It should be fine if you used 2.1.A.0.435 though (which it sounds like you did).

What do you mean your baseband is "gone"? That you can't connect through phone/3G/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth at all?

Yes, Baseband shows Unknown and there are no wireless connections. I used 2.1.A.0.435, looking for the latest one but is a Branded as far as I have found.

I tried applying the baseband after the ROM install but did not work

Go to themes / apps forum and install Link2SD. Also on market. Much better using it now, good to just choose games and big apps to go to SD, works perfect :) better than apps2SD i think and sofar not an issue on 2.1, even works on 1.6, very simple app to use noticed an improvement since i had about 20mb internal free before I used it lol

Thanks to that im happy with 2,1 for now as my main ROM with everything working on it. Only thing missing is flash but tbh I wouldnt use it, and performance wise TBH I dont see any issues as yet everything runs perfect

This is the first ROM i downloaded for my xperia. Thought about going 2.2 Froyo, but the camera was one of the main reasons i didn't go for it. I have tried it out for about an hour now. It seems twice as fast as normal SE rom and everything seems to work perfect. Quadrant gave me a score of 792.

Thanks a lot!

I've just flashed to this ROM last night. It's really beautiful!

However, I was having a problem, and I think I've fixed it. I'm using ADWLauncher EX along with MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. Some of the pictures for the wallpaper were showing up in low res, and ADW kept force closing. I checked aLogCat and it looked like the VM heap was running out of space, so I used "VM Heap Tool" (free from Market) and increased it from 24m to 32m. It seems to have fixed the wallpaper, so I'm guessing ADW will be okay too. I'll update if it crashes again, but I'm pretty sure it's fixed.

Edit: It's working great! No problems at all whatsoever now. It's incredibly stable.

Just a word of thought, isn't it best to blur out your personal numbers?

Al the best

Im using this rom now bacause I need a full working camera and maximum battery life since im going to an event. Normally how long does the battery last in this rom?

Can someone send me the Status switch (which gives you a shortcut to data) so I can remove the power control with flashtool and add the other one?

The battery lasts for about a day like stock. When using this ROM, make sure you remove all junk apps and u should get great performance ;)
